Hey Guys,

Anshuman - I'm glad you were able to get FUSE working. Most of the issues that we've seen stem from an incompatibility of some kind. Usually updating the software involved will resolve the issue. Please let us know if any further issues arise.

Dennis - It sounds like your browser has your Username and Password stored in it's "Auto Fill" settings. That's why you don't see the info auto populate when you click the Login button in FUSE, but it does when you click the "Forgot my Password" link and the browser opens. Currently, Fender FUSE doesn't have this capability although it is something to consider for future versions.

Regarding the Asterisks, it's been my experience that you can copy and paste those as well. Even though they show up as asterisks, the computer knows what characters they represent. You may want to test this to be sure, though.

Hi, All!

Just a note to say I can't help but notice that the Fender rep (Loren Howard) only responds to the members that post favorable comments about his product...how convenient!

The rest of us continue to be frustrated as we wait for the fix to the "bug" Mr. Howard describes as the source of the "Loading...please wait issue.

As I remember, he's responded to you also. Have you EVER tried calling him and having him help you over the phone (besides the one time you've mentioned)? You still seem bent on causing trouble here. If it's that frustrating to you, why don't you sell your amp (or trade it back if you're in the return period with GC) and get a Bugera V5. No computer hook up, no problem for you!

Most others have found that the problem has been THEIR computer, not Fender's fault.

Wish you well in your quest to ruin others' days.

Hey Loren,

Thanks for the suggestions. I guess if I want to save and upload presets I've got to get Fuse to know who I am going through the front door. And it makes sense about copying the asterisks, so I'll try it soon. Thanks again.

Marvel...contrary to what Loren Howard would have others believe, there are many, many of us experiencing the same thing! I couldn't agree with you more!

Every other downloaded program ever tried installs effortlessly. Admittedly, by Mr. Howard, there is a "bug" in Fender Fuse that he's been working on, in conjuction with Microsoft, for months on end. Yet Fender won't share the progress of these efforts with its customers that have become increasingly disappointed.

After months and months of excuses, many of us can't help but question the credibility of the actions supposedly being taken by Fender to fix the "bug."

Users like "bclarke675" aren't experiencing our frustration so he/she has no idea what we're going through. But, rest assured, you're not alone...

Trust me, I've experienced your frustration with other computer issues. The difference is that I've learned that if the frustration level is too high, you either learn to live with the limitations or move on to a different product (or take steps like reformatting your hard drive and reinstalling your OS) to resolve the problem. I don't resort to continually bashing one person, when there is a whole team of people who are working on the situation. Just because Loren doesn't report every step they're taking to resolve the issue doesn't mean they're ignoring/forgetting the problem. And unless you've been willing to try all suggestions, like it or not, you are part of the problem. FWIW

Yup...just as I stated...it's apparent that YOU do not experience this same problem.

IN FACT, I've been communicating with Mr. Howard, via e-mail, this forum, and telephone since October, 2010. What's that...About 6 months???!!! Yet, no resolution for many, many of us!

If the Fender representatives would, at least, acknowledge that there is a problem with their software, that would go a LONG WAY to restore their credibility! Until then, we remain extremely disappointed customers.

P.S. Maybe you should subscribe to another thread...obviously, you have nothing constructive to contribute regarding this SPECIFIC problem...

Nor do you

I will make this my last post, as I've wasted enough time trying to get you to treat people with some respect.

Respect and trust are attributes that are earned. Regaining either, after a breach such as commited by Fender, usually takes a very long time.

But, thanks for letting us know that you won't be posting to this thread any longer...This particular discussion is for those of us experiencing the dreaded, "Loading...Please Wait" message.

If you don't have that particular problem, then, you are correct, it makes no sense for you to continue to comment.

Hey all, just wanted to weigh in on this topic, picked up my mustang 4 a few days ago, and had the same issues with the fuse software as above... froze with explorer, and would not work at all with chrome.

I read the info available in this forum, downloaded and installed explorer 8, and everything immediately worked perfectly.

seems to me some of you are just being silly getting so worked up over this... its very common for any new software to have glitches and require some effort on the users part to resolve them... in my case it took less than 2 hours to resolve the prob and start enjoying the product... and I have to say that I think fender has done an outstanding job with the amp AND the software...

just take a deep breath, and work thru the problem... in truth, over the years I have tried a ton of modeling processors and amps, and nothing has ever come remotely close to the quality and ease of use that I am enjoying right now with the mustang 4 and the fuze software!

I am a long time player and I think Fender has truly nailed it, and at an unbelieveably fair price, and they have raised the bar significantly for all other players in the market... instead of whining and bitching because it wasn't "easy" to set up, roll up your sleeves, settle in, and read the forums, follow the trail of solutions, and gitter done... you didn't learn to play guitar in 5 minutes either right?
but you stuck with it.

the vast majority of you WILL resolve whatever issue is hanging you up, and you WILL love what you can do with the mustang once you get into it.

just my two cents.

Having installed FUSE and silverlight I only managed to get presented with a screen that said FUSE was loading - this quickly disappeared and I was left with a black box.

What I had to do was to uninstall both these programs via my Windows XP control panel and then download and run Internet Explorer 7.

I then downloaded Fender FUSE 2.1.0.8 and reinstalled it (click save and not run when asked) along with Microsoft Silverlight when prompted.

After the installation I was asked to disconnect and reconnect the amp's USB cable.

FUSE is now working !!!
For me I think it was not having IE7 installed in the beginning.

I have xp and have the silverlight I found a trick. Keep the usb unpluged till the please wait is showing. Then plug in the usb. With the volume up on the computer you should hear a bing bing. And you will be up and running. Fuse is great I did have to go to town and get better internet than I have at home for the download. Regards Horton

had the same problem after first installing fuse. after checking the system requirements in the fender support area again, i updated NET Framework and installed IE 8. then fuse worked fine. didn't have to re-install fuse, silverlight, or anything else...

hope everyone with the black-screen-problem gets the bug fixed...

Another option is using fender's great warranty (5 years). I had a great experience with getting my amp replaced.
