I'm glad that I have a card reader to transfer files (presets/backing tracks) from my computer to my SD card. I'm able to sync my amp to FUSE just fine, but it will not complete the mounting of USB drive mode, even though it does find both the SD card and amp and give them both accessible drive letters on my computer. I'm running an older Windows XP SP3 machine with 1GB RAM, 2GHz Athlon XP 2800+ proc and a GeForce FX 5600 video card.

I'm using an 8GB SDHC card and have over 2GB of presets & audio on the card. This may be a reason for the situation, but I've left the amp and computer communicating for over half an hour without success. What really baffles me is that the computer has already recognized both drives that are trying to mount, so why won't it finish and go back to FUSE so I can work with the files there?!?

Just something for the techs to work on. I'm really happy with my G-DEC 3 and FUSE in general...just this one issue, which I can work around, but shouldn't have to.

Thanks, Bob

Hey Bob,

I'm not quite sure I understand. Are you saying that the drives (internal amp memory and SD card) are visible in My Computer but you can't access them? Are you saying that you can access the drives in USB Drive mode but pressing the Exit button on the amp doesn't exit USB Drive mode?
Do you think you could give us a call so we could get some clarification on what's happening? That would make it easier for us to get this issue resolved.

Thanks,
Loren

Loren,

I sent you an e-mail with what Alan and I discussed concerning this.

Loren,

Thanks for explaining that the behavior I'm having is normal. I just didn't understand how the USB drive function works. Now I do!
