I have a G-Dec 3 Thirty that I'm trying to hook to Fuse but have been unable to get it to work.

Fuse works fine by itself, but as soon as I plug in my amp to the usb port it crashes

Here is what I have done so far:

Installed the latest version of FUSE - 2.0.0.462.
Installed the latest version of the amp firmware - 1.04
Reset all presets on the amp

I am running Windows 7 64-bit on a Toshiba Qosimio X505-Q880.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Joe

If you have custom presets in your amp that is probably what causing Fuse 2.0 to crash. They are aware of the issues and hopefully working on an update. If you restore your amp back to the original presets it will probably be able to sync with Fuse 2.0. Or you can just avoid using Fuse until they release another version.

I tried resetting the presets with no luck. Guess I'll be waiting for the update. :(

Hey Guys,

We are actually in the testing stage on a fix for this. We should have something to report soon.

I'm in the same boat as of today using latest Fuse 2.0 and firmware 1.4 on WinXP SP3. It was working fine for a few weeks but now it abends when I hook up the amp. :(

Any word on when the fix will arrive?

Thanks.

Things that auto-update, can be bad luck. I turn off windows update,
web-browser auto-updates, anything that asks gets told no. Anything
that acts without permission is binned. FUSE depends on certain versions
of core mSoft apps, like the greased pig chase at the rodeo, if you're lucky enough to catch it, its even luckier to let it go. Any chance you set a restore point while Fuse was working? I plug in and power on the amp before turning on the computer, have you tried it that way? Are you in the same usb port each time?
Cheers

I got myself out of jail. the last thing I did before the hookup problem occurred was to edit a preset.
In Fuse, using my "1978 Brown" preset that I uploaded to the community a few days ago, I had done the following: I reduced treble on the amp and added a rack delay set to tape and adjusted the paremeters a bit to get 1.5 repeats ~300ms, 1/3 level.

After doing that, I couldn't connect anymore. :x

So I had a Big Idea  and went into the amp's onboard editor and deleted the rack delay from this preset and saved.
After doing that Fuse and the GDEC could hook up again.

I'm guessing that part of the preset info (is it xml stream maybe?) was corrupted and couldn't be properly parsed/read, and the manual overwrite solved the problem by eliminating the corrupted snippet.

It definitely sounds like something in that preset was corrupt. Let us know if you experience that behavior again.
