Fender Fuse 2.0 installed fine, but won't sync with amp... Fuse opens ok, but if the amp is connected Fuse starts "syncing..." and then locks up. I'm running Windows Vista Business SP2 (English, 32bit).

This was from version: "FenderFUSE_FULL_2.0.0.461.exe".

I see the download link has changed to "FenderFUSE_FULL_2.0.0.462.exe". Anyone know if the issue I'm experiencing has been fixed in the update?

Thanks.

EDIT: My amp's firmware was already updated to 1.04 before I installed the new version of Fuse. (if that makes a difference)

Update...

I completely removed the previous version and installed "FenderFUSE_FULL_2.0.0.462.exe". Same result. I guess I'll be going back to FenderFUSE_1.1.3 for now... :?

Hey McBrideB78,

We're sorry it's not working for you. What I would try is a Preset Restore using the Restore feature in the utility menu on the amp. First, export your presets using the Export All utility function. Then perform the restore. Any custom presets will have to be reloaded one by one but we have seen good results by doing this. Before reloading your presets, reinstall version 2.0 and see if the amp is able to sync.

Please try that and let me know if it works or not.

Restoring the factory presets now allows the amp to sync with Fuse 2.0. Is there a reason for this? Are fuse presets now stored differently on the amp? Should I expect to have any problems restoring my custom presets?

Also, I am glad to see a full-screen mode. It looks a bit more polished, but the interface seems slower in general... My computer has an Intel P8400 dual core processor and 4GB of ram.

Maybe this has something to do with install file ballooning from 13MB to 306MB?

Hey McBrideB78,

You shouldn't have any problems importing your custom presets. We figured that there may be some 1.1.3 specific information stored in you amp that is tied to the presets. Restoring your presets cleared whatever was causing the communication issue. We're glad you're up and running. We'll have to try and find out why you're experiencing a slower UI than 1.1.3.

Ok, so I imported each of my old preset and replaced the first 25 or so. They work and show up correctly on the amp.

I opened up Fuse and it crashed and windows said the program has stopped working. I closed it and opened it again. This time it sync'd and opened ok. However, all of my custom presets have New Preset listed as the name in Fuse and not what shows on the amp(and the previous version of fuse). If I go into the Preset Info in Fuse, the fields are blank or "none".

Well, I went through and imported and saved each of my custom presets from within Fuse (instead of importing from SD on the amp directly) and they all seem to be working and showing the correct information now.

So, I guess you can disreguard my last post. I don't really need any assistance. This was just a lot of extra work to get everything working with Fuse 2.0.

By the way, I love being able to sort presets etc. in Fuse 2.0. Even with the issues I've had so far, it seems to be a good improvement.

Thanks.

I have a same problem that fuse doesnt sync with amp. I have a newest software and firmware.(Mac version 10.5.8) I have done preset restore(couple times) and after that amp an fuse sync.

But when i try to import my custom presets in sd to amps hd then it says that those files are invalid. None of my custom presets doesnt open. I have to do all presets over again, and that pisses me of.

Now I have done every preset again, but somewhere when i was doing that fuse crashed and after that amp doesnt sync. This software is amazing...(doesnt work) its no use at all. Please make a new update quik, that i can use or tell me what can be done. Im not going to do that preset restore again becouse that affects more problems.

Hello jl-caster,

I'm sorry that you are experiencing these problems. We have not seen many issues with Fender FUSE 2.0 on OS X. Do you have the latest version of G-DEC 3 firmware (v1.04) installed? If not, you can find it here.

Restoring Presets seems to work well temporarily. Unfortunately, that is the best way to remain up and running while we work to resolve the issues that customers are seeing. We will do our best to keep you updated on our progress.

Hello Loren!

When you gonna release new Fuse update, that i can use Fuse again?. Now it wont sync with amp becouse i have many custom presets. It would be nice that fuse works with custom presets. Useable would be so much easier.

Is there coming forward and rewind option. In training mode i think that is necessery. Its so annoying that song starts always in beginning, if you want to rehearse solo exp.
