I mail the screenshot to you in 5 minutes...

Thanks so much Häbbe. Is there anyway you could send us a screenshot of the error you're getting? I hate to ask but it would help us out quite a bit. You can take a screen shot by pressing the Print Scrn key. You can paste the image into MS Paint or WordPad. Thanks so much again.

Hi Loren,
I just send you the screensho, but you won't see more details than already described. Did users in the USA also have this problem, or is this perhaps due to the German Windows version? On the previous Fuse version there were no problems.
Regards

Thank you very much Häbbe. We are seeing this behavior mostly on German versions of Win 7 but on a few other versions as well. We hope to have it resolved shortly.

Perhaps it has to do with the Silverligt update KB2164913 which was rolled out by Windows update on september 8 ?

Hi Loren

I can confirm that sllauncher.exe is where it should be i.e. "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Silverlight\sllauncher.exe" The date modified is 26/08/10

I have also e-mailed you a screenshot. I live in the UK.

Incidentally I have found the installation file for FUSE version 1.1.3 on my PC and it works perfectly :) So I'll stick to the old version until a fix is made to 2.0

Thanks

Hey Guys,

It looks like we have nailed down the problem. There was an issue with the installer that caused problems with language localized versions of Windows. This would explain why some users were able to install and others couldn't. We apologize for the inconvenience guys. You can download the fix here:

http://www.fender.com/support/article.php?kb_id=48

I recommend removing the previous install of Silverlight and Fender FUSE 2.0 via add/remove programs prior to installing the new fix. Thanks again for your patience.

Hi

Good news! I can report that I have FUSE 2.0 up and running.

I removed and re-installed Silverlight. I removed FUSE 1.1.3 and installed 2.0. It seemed to load new drivers without me having to do anything. I then updated my G-Dec to v1.04 firmware.

With some trepidation I then fired up FUSE, connected my amp and it was a big relief when it worked

A big thankyou to Fender but PLEASE don't make me have to go through two days and many hours of torment the next time there's an update :x :!:

For now I'm going to go and have a day off from all things FUSE and hopefully come back rejuvenated and ready to try its new features.

Cheers!

Hey Guys,

That's great news. Please don't hesitate to let us know if you come across any issues with 2.0 (not that we anticipate any). :) We'll make sure to continue to do our best to correct these issues as quickly as possible in the future, SlickString. Thanks again for you help as well as your patience.

I am waiting for a reply from your Tech department. In the meanwhile, is there any news to this issue. I have encountered exactly the same issue with install.

Some specs:

Amp: Mustang II
OS: Windows 7, Finnish
FUSE version: FenderFUSE_FULL_2.0.1.501.exe

Any news to fix the install problem in order to use it? Already re-installed Silverlight and have tried to load the program several times. So far no luck.

This was listed earlier in this thread, but I'm sure your frustration level prevented you from seeing it.

Hey tilemanjay,

Did you just want to vent or do you actually need assistance? I didn't see a reference to any specific issue you're having in your post.
