FUSE is using Microsoft's Silverlight product, as far as I remember the old docs.
I do not believe the ipad's version of mobile Safari supports silverlight, so that would be a major issue in getting it to run on the ipad/ipod.

That's a bummer. Maybe it could work on any of the ipad rip offs out there.

What they really need to do is to embed Fuse into the amps and have keyboard & Monitor connector on the amp as well. Just plug in your Monitor & Keyboard and your good to go.

Yes... then the Mustangs would start at $400.00 instead of $100.00.
What you're suggesting is extremely costly.

Fuse for Ipad is a must have for me going forward. I don't have a laptop (who needs this in times of Ipad) and cannot pull my Desktop everywhere I go. And yes handling my Gdec3 through Fuse is so much cooler. So finally, it's not a question if but only when we will ultimately get it :-))

I would leave the Mustang and G-dec lines as they are. What I would really love to see Fender come out with is a new line something like the Orange OPC. It is a computer and an amp blended together. Great concept that to me would seem to be the next logical step after the Mustang and the G-dec series. If they can do it for less than Orange that would be awesome as I believe the Orange OPC will be about $1500 when it becomes available in the states.

Hey Guys,

Keep in mind that the G-DEC 3 can be connected directly to an iPad using the Apple Camera Connection Kit for the iPad. You can record directly into your iPad recording app.

Great, thanks for that info Loren! I didn't know that was possible. Is it possible to do this with any of the Mustang series amps?

To answer bluesdelux's question: Yes, you can go right from the Mustang into the iPad, Garageband for instance, using Apple's USB/Camera adapter, works wonderfully. It rocks! (The only negative, in my view, is that the Mustang doesn't have a modeling free, i.e., pure/genuinely clean sound, which would allow sounds on the iPad to be used in their pure forms, without the extra coloring.) With regard to the main topic of this post, this capability at least suggests that Fuse for iPad/ iPhone might be possible.

I keep my Amp next to my couch when i play and i usually have my headphones on so i don't disturb my wife. This leads to a lot of neck craning when i want to change settings. Having the possibility of changing the setting from my iPhone would be an amazing thing. It would also be much easier to go from a clean to distorted sound with a simply finger touch then a turn of the dial.

+1 for Fuse on iPad. I'm considering reselling my Mustang 1 because his potential is far too limited without Fuse connected and I do not want to carry my laptop all the time (meaning an extra bag); my iPad fits in my gig bag.

Maybe Fender will weigh in here and shed some light on what, if anything, is happening on this front.

+1 for Fuse for iPad.
I already have my iPad clipped to my mic stand using onSong for lyrics & charts.

Editing the settings on the Mustang between songs during a gig is nigh on impossible, there just isn't enough time.
The ability to change settings on the iPad without having to walk back to the amp would be absolutely fantastic!!

They wouldn't need the silverlight stuff for this. Lose all the fake amp pictures, etc and make is a simple grid of buttons to quick change settings with simple drag and drop and sliders. It can be black and white for all I care.
