Guys, how do I use Fuse to change the order in which my backing tracks appear? I'd like to put my top 10 or whatever up front. I'm using a Mac with 10.6.4, so I don't know if that's an issue ... but while in Fuse I couldn't figure any way to change what was on the amp's harddrive.

Also, is there a way to have one preset dialed up, and use it over whatever backing track I'm using, instead of having the default backing track come up? I've got my own guitar sound I like to use over various styles.

cbeytes:

This should work. You can change the order of the backing tracks on the hard drive by:

1. Going into USB mode through the utility menu
2. Opening the G-Decs hard drive after it appears on your desktop
3. Opening the audio folder
4. Changing the names of the band tracks. They appear in alphabetical order. Simply rename the tracks so that they are in the order that you want (alphabetically). For Example, Alkaline Trio is the first band track listed on my G-Dec hard drive. If I changed the first letter to a 'B' then Alkaline Trio would be Blkaline Trio and it would be listed as the 10th band track right after BenanteBello Burnit backing track. Note, be careful not to change the extension, I don't think the G-Dec would like that.

**In the example above, if Alkaline Trio is associated with a preset, that preset will not be able to find the file since you changed the name. You would have to re-associate it with the preset and save it back again.

If there is a way to do this in Fuse I am not aware of it.

The previous suggestion looks good. You could prefix the name with 01, 02, 03, etc to put them in order (all the way to 99 if you want to). The zero in front keeps the computer from thinking it is a 10

I use this method on the SD card Songs that I use with the amp. It is easy to load the SD card in the computer and change the prefix and thus the order.

That is just how that I have my SD card loaded (i.e. filenames starting with 01, 02, 03, etc.) so that they are listed first.

Thanks guys. Simple enough. Although it would be nice to drag and drop them into the order I want rather than rename them ... especially if the preset gets dropped!
