I installed Fuse 1.1.3. (and the ASIO driver for win7), not from the DVD but I first installed the driver then launched the donwloaded fuse setup file.
My system is Win 7 64. I installed from my normal user account (no admin rights) - just had to enter the password in the admin popup window on installation.
The program installed itself in the programs/x86 folder and does not show up in the programs list.
There was neither a shortcut after the installation, I had to search the fuse.exe file in the Fuse folder. Everytime I launch FUSE, i have to confirm with admin account password. Same problem when I doubleclick fuse.exe directly from the admin account : I have to confirm the execution with the password.
Did FUSE not install correctly?

Hi häbbe,

Thanks for your inquiry. It sounds like what is going on here is that you have installed from a non-admin account type. This will require you to manually locate the application file to launch each time. What I would suggest you do is to uninstall Fender FUSE and the ASIO driver from the non-admin account. Then log out of the non-admin account, and log on to your admin account. From there, install Fender FUSE & the ASIO driver. And see if that corrects the issues you are seeing with access, etc.

If you need further assistance with this, please email or call us. Thanks very much.

Hi Alan,
unfortunately, this did not fix the problem. I deinstalled from my normal user account and reinstalled from my admin accoun as you told, but Fuse still does not appear in the programs list of my normal user account. Why? I have to look for the exe file in the Fuse folder (programs x86)doubleclick on the exe file and still have to type the admin password. In the admin account FUSE shows up in the programs list but there is also a popup on lauching the program (without need of typing the password).
For you information: I'm living in Germany and use an German Win version, but this should not cause the problem.
Any help?

Hi häbbe,

Can you please contact us via email, and we can assist you further. It is difficult to get into greater detail on the Forum. There are still clearly some permissions issues that are occurring. Thanks very much.

Hi häbbe,

I apologize for the delay in responding to your email. Can you please tell me what your email address is? Or can you send one more email and reference your User name in it? I will be able to reference you by matching the two.

Thanks very much.

Hey one2blue,

Did you install Fender FUSE from a non-admin account as well?

No, it was an ADMIN account but I applied the latest updated yesterday and it seems to have fixed the problem.

Thank You

I have been following this post which started over 2 months ago and after reading the apologies from the Fender staff for the delays in responding and then losing emails, and asking for resubmission of said lost emails, then absolute no solution posted.

Is this what fender calls customer service and support?

Well, they are most likely swamped with problem reports on this software. Need a better test program prior to release and perhaps more than 1 guy answering all the problems...kind of feel sorry for him.

Like they say, if the road is washed out, take the long way home.

The following is what I would do as normal maintenance, and especially for something as complex and rewarding as FUSE, and I have been very lucky.

Back up your crucial files to something other than the system hard-disk.
Move the old FUSE v2, and re-download it.
Uninstall Silverlight, and any games that access the internet as part of normal use.
Run a Spybot-Search&Destroy session.
Run your system defrag and checkdisk utilities.
Set a system restore point.

Now, with the amps usb disconnected, install the asio driver, and FUSE V2, following the directions. Connect the amp in the fastest usb port, and not a hub, with all other usb devices removed.

Make sure you are on the administrator account
for all these steps.

Also, I found this utility that removes and cleans the registry of all
.net framework componants. This may be advisable, since FUSE includes and installs a recent .net framework, and in computers, if its a 1 when it needs to be a zero, you're done for :(

http://www.blogsdna.com/4171/how-to-com ... dows-7.htm

http://www.safer-networking.org/en/download/ (for Spybot S&D)

I had no Silverlight or .net framework on my computer, so there were no
possible conflicts, and FUSE has run from the first click.

Hope this helps!
