So I followed the link that says, "Learn how to upload presets" :
http://www.fender.com/support/gdec3/art ... p?kb_id=77

I'm not saying it's not there but after reading over the information provided twice I'm still not seeing where it tells you how to upload a preset.

Come on, it's obviously right there, right under ... ah .. hmmm.

Oh well, at least the video tutorial (which does explain it) is mentioned.

That's strange. The "How-To Videos" link under Product Reference now eventually loops back to itself. Even the previous link for videos under How To Videos takes you to the question itself.

You obviously already know all this based on your initial question, I just assumed the helpful videos on uploading and downloading were still there someplace. They did exist because I have watched them several times in the past.

Any explanation Fender?

Our apologies guys. We recently did some upgrades to the knowledge base software and it seems to have broken the links to the videos. I'll let you guys know when they are back up.

Please do Loren. I'm ready to upload my Boston preset, and I can't!

Thanks, Bob

It's actually pretty simple. If you are logged in to the Fender FUSE Community via the "Login" button on the lower right corner of Fender FUSE, just go to the Media Library. If your preset is saved to your computer click "Computer", right click on the preset, and select "upload preset". You may want to edit the "preset info" before you upload it though.

Thanks Loren...I figured it out right before I saw your latest post. I guess I wasn't logged into the FUSE community the first time I tried to upload, because I didn't have that option when I right-clicked on the preset.

Actually I think the problem so many people are having trying to upload a preset is the fact that you only get the option to upload presets from the Computer portion of the media library. You do NOT get the option when viewing presets from the amp section of the media library. Bug?

Hi McBrideB78,

I understand what you are saying. However, the point is that you cannot upload directly from the amp to Fender FUSE Community site because the amp hard drive is a separate external device. You need to have the Preset in Fender FUSE (i.e. on the computer HD). From there, you simply right click (control click), and upload your Preset. This is the normal functionality of Fender FUSE/Fender G-DEC 3.

Thanks.

Fair enough... But, in Fuse, if you're in the media library it shouldn't matter where the source is since Fuse can open that preset to modify so why not to upload? I just don't think it's very clear.

Seems it would be easier for people to highlight a preset listed and then click a button that says Upload whether it's from the amp/SD/computer shouldn't matter. I could certainly see why you wouldn't have the option to upload from the web source however.

Of course, I also wish you could sort the presets by clicking the headers.

Thank you for your reply.

Hi McBrideB78,

I hear what you are saying. And of course, Fender FUSE will continue to be developed with more updates and fixes as well as features, etc. I will forward a link to this thread to our software engineers. Thanks for your valuable input. We are listening.
