Fuse is not that intensive of an application. Why is there no version for non-intel macs? All my machines are G4 powerpc and I certainly don't want to buy a new machine just for fuse, but I really like (and sometimes need) to be able to put the fx pre and post as well as the tone stack and other 'deep editing'. Will there be a legacy version coming out? Or would it be possible to add the full functionality to the onboard software in the future?

Also, I think adding a graphic or para eq to the chain (post amp) would be really great to allow patches to better mix with backing tracks and stand out a bit (especially for metal type stuff).

Thanks.

Hey Spyz6,

I totally understand where you're coming from. I"ve been in your position numerous times as I've been a Mac guy for over 20 years. I've been forced to upgrade numerous pieces of my studio due to my computer hardware not being supported any longer. Unfortunately the PowerPC platform is not even being fully supported by Apple any longer as they haven't released a PowerPC machine in almost 5 years. In order to make the best software going forward, software developers eventually have to end support for older machines. In this case, where we were developing software that had no existing PowerPC version, we had to choose whether or not to support an older architecture. We chose not to for many reasons. The main one being that future versions of Fender FUSE would be limited due to the development tools we would have to use to create PowerPC compatible software. We definately aren't trying to force you to buy a new computer. I"m sure your G4 machines work just fine for you for whatever you use them for. But, I'm sure you'll find that Fender FUSE isn't the only software that you can't run.

As for the amp firmware being updated to include the functionality that Fender FUSE adds, there currently are no plans for such an update. Fender FUSE was given the extra controls due to the screen size of the amp. I think you may be on to something with the post amp graphic EQ though. I'll pass these suggestions along to the engineers and developers.

and I do understand the problems with supporting older hardware.

Regarding the firmware, would it really be too much to add an additional menu page with the eq stack/fx placement switch? Wouldn't it be just one more page to scroll through? I'm not a developer so I don't know, but it would seem easy enough.

Anyways, I really hope the addition of an eq can be done.

One more thing I thought about. I bought this as a travel practice amp due to its extreme portability and jam features. When not traveling I keep it in the tv room for noodling. How cool would it be to offer it with a stereo amp and additional cab, that lets you run in spread stereo. That would be really cool being that it has the ability to play stereo tracks. I realize that this would jump the price point up, but I would think it a great feature worth the added cost. Just a thought.
