I believe the AmpData files hold the 00-99 prerset data. Is there anyway to:

1. Read and print the data
2. Delete and make changes to the data directly from the computer.
3. Why isn't the preset names identified next to the Numbers?
4. Do they hold band data also?

Thanks

Hey Asiegler,

Are you referring to the 100 preset files located in c:\Program Files\Fender\Fender FUSE\Data\FUSE?

In that case I have some info for you. This came from Jason Michlowitz, one of the Fender FUSE developers.

1. Read and print the data
No, there isn't a way to read and print the data directly. In theory you could open the files in notepad and print them that way but if this is something we think is useful for the future, a way to print data on presets into some readable format, then we can discuss it, but as of now, no method exists.

2. Delete and make changes to the data directly from the computer.
If you are taking about the files I think you are, then there is a way. Yes. The Preset Info dialog handles this. You do have to remember to “save” your preset after you are done editing.

3. Why isn't the preset names identified next to the Numbers?
Presets are associated by number. The name is cosmetic.

4. Do they hold band data also?
No. Band data is stored in the preset itself and is something that the G-DEC 3 DOES have a concept of, as opposed to DOES NOT, which is why we have a need for these files in the first place.

I hope this helps.

Cool info Loren.

As a fellow firmware developer for non-musical products, please tell Jason that he's got my dream job :-)
