I posted this for someone else and didn't want to retype so I cut and pasted it. This should help

after you change the preset you have to push "exit" button then push the "softkey" that has "band " over it (on bottom of the display of g dec) then it says "band type" use the wheel to choose between mp3/wav and midi then push the "softkey" with "file" above it and use the wheel to select then hit the save button 2x and your done.... notice when your turning the wheel that above the song name the word reads (g-dec-sd) or(g-dec-hd) that is the current storage area you are in.
I also fond this:
Band Track Selection
To select a new band track:
1. Press the BAND soft-key.
2. The first menu is Band Type. Here you can select either MP3/WAV –or– MIDI as the band track file type.
♫ Select MP3/WAV as the Band Type for the best results in most instances. MIDI is more useful for specialized purposes
such as generating metronome clicks.
3. Press the FILE soft-key to access the band track File selection
menu.
4. Turn the big knob to select a new band track.
♫ Turning the big knob will scroll through all the band tracks on the G-DEC 3 hard drive (HD) in alphanumerical
order and then continue with all the band tracks on the SD card (SD).
5. Press EXIT.
♫ The SAVE button will turn red to indicate a change to the current preset. To reset the band track, simply turn the big knob to a different preset and then back again.

Thanks for that help. I have read the advanced manual. This is the kind of thing fender is just ignoring customers on. I still cannot get this to work. if you folks at fender are in fact listening, you should really be ashamed of yourselves for not providing any clear instructions. i am a businessman, and if this were my product, i'd have everything spelled out, with tutorials on how to accomplish everything your advertising hype promised. perhaps this is a great product, i'm not sure, but one thing that is for sure, is that anyone who buys it is pretty much on their own when it comes to operating it.

i know you are tired of my complaining, but the simple fact is you are not supporting this product in any meaningful way. why don't you step up and support this product like you promised?

Hey Guys,

There are two ways to import MP3 or WAV files into Fender FUSE. The fastest way is to go to the Media Library in Fender FUSE and click the "Add To Library" button. This will bring up a dialog box asking you to search your computer for the files you want to add. Once you find the files, highlight them and click open. They will now be available in the Computer tab of the Media Library. This method works equally well with SD cards. Your SD card should have an audio folder on it also if it at any time has been in the amp. You can drag audio files there as well.

Another way is to find the files outside of Fender FUSE and place them in My Documents>Fender>Audio>WaveMP3. Once placed in that folder you may need to restart Fender FUSE if it was open when you copied the files. From there, you should see the recently added audio files in the Media Library under the Computer tab. These are all of the audio files in that Audio>WaveMP3 folder. To save them to either the amp memory or to an SD card inserted into your amp, just right click on a file in the Media Library and choose Send to Amp or Send to SD card.

Keep in mind that Fender FUSE itself does not play audio files so there is no way to play them unless you transfer them to either the amp or to an SD card. You can, of course, preview/play files that reside on the amp, from Fender FUSE

I also wanted to remind you that we are here to help with any G-DEC 3 or Fender FUSE related questions or problems you may have. We patrol the forums many times per day in addition to responding to emails and answering phone calls from G-DEC 3 users such as yourselves. If you are having an issue or have a question about a certain feature on the G-DEC 3 or Fender FUSE please do not hesitate to contact us. That's what were here for.

I'd also like to point you to the G-DEC 3/Fender FUSE Knowledge Base at http://fender.com/support/gdec3/. It is full of very useful information on operating the amp and software. You can find all related documents and software downloads and even some tutorials here. Also, this KB is steadily growing and is always being updated with new content. You can expect more tutorial videos soon as well.

Thanks,

Loren Howard

Thank you Loren, this is the kind of info that's needed. No dancing around the issue, no excuses, just "here is exactly how to do it."

OK, I just tried that, there was no way to select the files; i went to the directory, selected the files and tried to paste them into the media library band track area and fuse locked up.

By the way, I just went to the support site you posted and in clicking on the how-to areas, the first time I got a "fatal error," the second time it went to page saying sites not available due to "maintenance."

I would appreciate a phone call at ***-***-****.
thanks

I apologize Lance.

I was just informed that the KB is actually down for maintenance for a few hours. I also advise against posting your phone number on a public forum in the future. You'd be surprised at what some people can do with even the tiniest bit of your personal information.
I called the number you provided and left a message. I'll try back later.

Thanks,
Loren
