Please don't turn this into a fight! I enjoy getting information about the products I use, and don't need the personal situations that sometimes go along with them.

I understand that some people here choose to attack when frustrated, but sometimes it's best to ignore insults and focus on the reason we're all here. BTW, if it continues, I'm sure the moderators can block users from posting, especially when the posts are offensive (even using initials or characters to imply expletives).

That said, I think the staff here do a good job of trying to help everyone with their questions and concerns. I do agree that the Advanced Manual should have been included with the amp, but Fender is not the first company to have this oversight. Vox and Line 6 have done it too. Many times the developers have worked enough with the equipment, that they forget the end users aren't as familiar with it and need more guidance in the manuals.

I would like to see better descriptions of the effects and what (and how) the controls actually affect the sound when you tweak each parameter. Some of the effects baffle me as to the differences. More explanation would be helpful.

But...I'm not going to start a tirade against Fender or any other posters here because I'm not getting what I want.

Please be good neighbors, help when you can and leave the bickering and name-calling out of it.

Thanks,
Bob

Chalk it up to the learning curve. You just have to spend the time and fight your way through to learn the in's and out's. Yeah it's pretty frustrating sometimes, but after a while you start to remember what works and doesn't and figure out your work around to get it done. Spend sometime enjoying the great tones available and take a break from trying to figure it all out, then come back the next day or so and work your way through to the next level. At least that is what I'm doing. You can use you favorite song and under the Band track menu select cancel center and most of the time it takes out the lead guitar to make room for you. A great feature. Hang in there, it'll come together after a while.

Thanks for the info on the center cancel feature. I hadn't seen or heard about that. Similar to the feature in JamVox, i'll bet.

I agree that centre cancel is something not a lot of people know about and of course your comment about user manuals not included on products is very true, i mean look at the ipod no manual, not a even a mains charger(although come to think of it my g dec didnt come with the right plug but thats a localisation issue and its not a hard plug to find, but thats off topic)

Apologese for starting a fight i kinda didnt mean to and sorry for any offence caused to anybody, i agree, lets just enjoy this great amp, its opened up so many options for me that im only starting to decide which one to take first!

Thanks for the"center cancel" tip I didn't know about that one...

As for companies that go to market items before all the manuals and bugs and other stuff aren't ready that goes with all things computer hardware and software and the reason is: Any co. weather it be software or hardware can't let there product sit in waiting for any time at all to let the bugs get worked out or full or advanced manuals get done is because they need to sell the product to keep the business afloat thats why we see "updates" and "patches" "firmware updates". we all have different configs of computers and some stuff just conflicts and can't be foreseen. that is why there are "beta testers" and thanks to the "fender team" for asking here on the forum for that.

On a side note I would like to say that I have gotten allot of great feed back at gigs about the sound of this amp. normally I use an "ART SGX 2000 express" when I play a gig with my PA, but when we use another bands PA I started to use the G-DEC3 and plug "line in" to it and it is awesome.

Thank You Fender!!!

Every time I am at guitar center I tell some one about this amp that has never heard of even the original G-DEC and are pleasantly surprised at the sounds and functions of this amp...
