I just bought the 30 watt amp yesterday and I have been learning how to understand the fuse software.

The PDF fuse file is a high level brush over in my opinion.
I saw no documentation about the guitar dial on the upper left
section on the amp.

Can you have more then 100 presets or must they be added on a sd card?

Why must a NEW sd card be put into the sd slot. If Fuse formats the card
I can't see why I can't do a high level format on one of my sd cards that I use for my camera. Then Fuse can format it?

There should be more detail as to what all the white buttons do underneath
the preset screen. I just did a quick run through on the amp - it looks like you can copy the preset and then make changes to it? There is also a button that Locks - I assume that no changes can be made when the lock is put in place for a certain preset?

I'm fairly familiar with software installs but I had to physically look through the CD's software files to install fuse and ableton. So I can understand why some people are having trouble installing the software.

I''m assuming the band section is where I can get background music. I haven't taken the time to identify everything I need to do - it would of been nice if that process was detailed somewhere - it may be - but I will have to identify what to do as I'm not use to having a background playing amp.

Hi Rose,

I'll answer your questions one at a time.

The PDF fuse file is a high level brush over in my opinion.
I saw no documentation about the guitar dial on the upper left
section on the amp.
I'm sorry that you didn't find the manuals to be much help. Here's a link to the recently released advanced manual. http://support.fender.com/manuals/manua ... 81367a.pdf
The Guitar Tone knob is sort of a simple Bass, Mid, and Treble control. Do some spinning and listen to what it does to your guitar sound.

Can you have more then 100 presets or must they be added on a sd card?
You can have up to 100 presets loaded onto the amp at any one time. If you wish to load another preset from an SD Card or from the Fender FUSE Community, it must replace one of the 100 loaded presets.

Why must a NEW sd card be put into the sd slot. If Fuse formats the card
I can't see why I can't do a high level format on one of my sd cards that I use for my camera. Then Fuse can format it?
The SD card doesn't have to be new. It just must be formatted FAT32 which is how new cards are formatted. It can't be formatted NTFS (Windows) or Mac OS Extended. Also, the G-DEC doesn't necessarily "format" the card. It copies the G-DEC file structure onto the card to prepare it for use with the amp. You can use the SD card from your camera, but you'll definitely want to format it first.

There should be more detail as to what all the white buttons do underneath
the preset screen. I just did a quick run through on the amp - it looks like you can copy the preset and then make changes to it? There is also a button that Locks - I assume that no changes can be made when the lock is put in place for a certain preset?
The white buttons are soft-keys that don't have a static function. What they do changes depending on what screen you are looking at. You are correct in assuming that no changes can be saved to presets when the Mem Lock is enabled.

I understand what you're saying but most of the answers you are seeking will come from playing with the amp and Fender FUSE and getting familiar with its features and functionality. Give yourself some time with it and if you have any questions feel free to ask on the forum. You can also contact us by phone at 480-596-7195 or at consumerrelations@fender.com.

Thanks for posting your replies to my questions. My problems are that
I do need a sd card and I do need to erase some of the current presets and back tracks and add to a sd card. That is why I was having trouble loading the new presets and band tracks on the web site..

I also like the more detailed manual link that you sent me.

I am running windows 7 64 bit so I don't know if that caused the problem of me having to search through the software cd for setup exe's on fuse and abbleton.

Must be fun answering all these questions from people who are not in the best frame of mind when they send off the email.

Thanks
Rose
