Is there any way to get the COMMUNITY button to also be able to start up in Fire Fox? When you click on the community button, it brings up IExplorer.

Thank you

Hi JDLinn,

Thanks for your question. Actually, Fender FUSE is setup to open within Internet Explorer automatically. However, you can access the Fender FUSE Community from an external browser such as Firefox. The downside to that is you don't get the integrated functionality directly within Fender FUSE.

Best Regards,

Alan , nah, the downside is I don't get to use FireFox if I use the Fuse Community Button. Right Now, I'll choose FireFox ... thank you.

I received the amp last night. What a buzzkill. The Fuse software wouldn't run, and there was no one smart enough at Fender to include the all-important warning, "If you use Firefox, we won't tell you why the software fails." Maybe it fails for other reasons, but it fails. Amplitude didn't work, Ableton wouldn't register, and there are concerns with the ASIO. IK Multimedia claims I have a card with a registration key. Duh, no card. I have a simple PC. Everything works on it, except this poorly documented mess. I read the long threads about Fuse. It crashes for many people with common MS .net files. It's acceptable for Fender to have software problems, but Fender knows about them and could a list of work-arounds. How many hours should I spend on the phone with customer service?

[b] [/b I believe all your problems are a case of "operator malfunction". Many on here have the systems up and running, weather it's XP,Vista ,or windows 7.not all computers are equal. i believe the problems are in the individual computers and not the software. BUT I COULD BE WRONG   :D

C J,

First, what amp do you have...G-DEC 3 or Mustang?

If Mustang, you have to register on FUSE before you get codes for Amplitube & Ableton.

Next, FUSE will work if you use Firefox, BUT Internet Explorer HAS to be up-to-date, as well as other Microsoft Updates (.NET frameworks, Silverlight & Adobe Flash Player).

Finally, if you HAD called someone at Fender, they WOULD have helped you get things worked out!

Just my two cents worth!

It's not operator malfunction. If there are common browsers that don't work, or if there are common errors in the text (such as "look at the card we failed to provide"), then Fender should address them in the box and on the screen. That's a vendor documentation error. A user shouldn't have to research solutions that the vendor is already aware of.

If Fender can resolve the separate issues, I will post the solutions. Many other users with similar problems had to delete Microsoft .net files. What affect does that have? Hopefully, I won't have to lose an unrelated capability to gain the Fender Fuse capability.

None of us will disagree that documentation for both the G-DEC 3s & Mustangs could (should) be better. However, you found your way here to complain. Why couldn't you just as easily found the solutions also listed in these posts?

FWIW :P

My initial language was over-the-top. However, it's common, and should be encouraged in a forum to voice complaints.

Users are the ones who will express the problems in a system. Users share their solutions, and with enough posts of the same problems, the vendor may take preventive and/or corrective action. Did you notice that many of the posts are about problems with software and/or information? I talked with a Fender rep who told me there are mistakes concerning product registration. He gave me some work-arounds to try. If they work, I will post them for others.

Of course I searched the forum for answers. What would make someone think otherwise? Thankfullly, so many people had resolved their problems that I could get work arounds. There are still some problems, but the Mustang amp sounds great enough that I should forget about the down side.
