I started a post on the same subject. Sorry.

Fuse hangs on my mustang III when I try to back up my presets. I want to use the Horse Tamer app foound on this web site to duplicate each patch that I ave made witha slightly higher gain setting so that I can switch to a lead setting during gigs. This little app would be just the trick but unfortunately I can't get the dang back up to work.

Hey Guys,

We'll look into this. Would you mind listing your system specs?

Same issue for me.

Windows XP Home Edition
Version 2002 Service Pack 3
Dell Inspiron 1010
CPU Z530@1.60GHz
1.60 GHz, .99GB of RAM
Physical Address Extension

FUSE 2.2.2 backs up fine.

First time backup of my Mustang II factory presets seemed to work fine. Running Mac OS Snow Leopard 10.6.8 on a 3 year old MacBook Pro. Took less than 20 seconds.

I easily found where the data is stored on my computer but none of the file names or extensions are familiar, so I am assuming I shouldn't be poking around in there, I.e., dragging/dropping files to or from computer and amp.

There shouldn't be a problem in the actual process of dragging and dropping files around on your computer in the normal way if you really want/need to, although you do need to be careful that the FUSE software can always find them - maybe a good reason for sticking with the default locations that are automatically set up when the software installs ?

However, you can't use drag and drop within the FUSE preset library interface itself, including to/from the amps - not because its not a good idea, but because the FUSE software simply doesn't provide for it.

This is a much requested feature, hoped for in future FUSE updates.

I agree depepat. That is what I meant about leaving the back up file data be. The way the files are named and configured don't seem that user friendly to this Mac user anyway.

Hey All,

We've done some testing of the backup function and we've been able to reproduce the behavior some of you are seeing. The good news is that this bug appears to be purely visual. The backup files are complete, even though the backup progress bar in Fender FUSE stops halfway through. You can verify the backup is complete by looking at the LCD on the amp during the backup and restore processes. This is a case of the progress bar in Fender FUSE not being perfectly in sync with the progress bar on the amp.

This behavior will be corrected in an upcoming version of Fender FUSE.
