I decided to use the Select all option for backing up my Fuse files like presets, band tracks etc... But, how long is this operation suppose to take :?: I started this 6hrs ago and its still showing that its updating files. How could this be :?:  I had to ctl-alt-del and stop the process. Anyone know :?:

Second, I think  this is a horrible software backup app simply because it does not show where it's backing up to  . And, it does not show any progress indicator. It leaves you hanging :x .

I should only take a minute or so unless you include the bakcing tracks. The presets are small little XML files.

Everything is backed up under the install directory of Fender Fuse:

c:\program files\Fender\Fender Fuse\Data\Backups\CCYY_MM_DD_HH_MM_SS\

Thanks for your input to my question. I checked the file / directory mentioned and I did find my presets but there was no bandtrack files / forlder at all. As mentioned, the problem was that I used the Select All option, and it failed. Anyhow I will try again or use a different approach. Thanks again for your input :D

You know I have been thinking, a dangerous practice for me.

Why back all that up? Its available on line and on the disk? and I think its some where on the usb drive, since there is a restore to default status option.

I think overwriting the presets I don't like which is most of them, and replacing them with mine and user group ones I like and ones like Jeff Beck. That way I'd have speedy access to my favorites, more than 4 quick access, and I could always save my presents to sd, then do a system restore if I wanted all the defaults back

Basically why back up what Fender already has as a backup?

This used to be a fairly technical process with the expertise necessary to efficiently, but these days a system or a backup file can be literally anyone. There are backup solutions available today that lets you create a system backup and backup of files in just a few mouse clicks and no more than a few minutes.

ESXi Backup Software

I just upgraded to Fuse 2.3.0 from 2.2.2 for my Mustang III, and where I previously had no problem backing up, now it hangs at about 40% and Fuse freezes. I let it sit there for 10 minutes. I have to "x" out of the program. Then when I check my restore list, the backup is there, although whether it's complete or not, I don't know.

Ditto. Fuse v2.3.0 'hangs' on Mustang III during about 50% on backup.
My Mustang II seems to backup and restore correctly.

I had the same problem with backup.
I uninstalled ver. 2.2.3 and installed 2.2.2.
Now everything works! Doing this did not effect any of my saved presets either.
