I truly appreciate that someone, somewhere in the world keep the ball rolling regarding this Mac-question.
I will stay awake most of the night here in Copenhagen and wait for the update.

Hey Guys,

The new Fender FUSE for Mac public beta installer is now available. We are extremely sorry for any inconvenience due to 0.9.10. There was an issue with the mono-framework installer in the previous disk image. This one is version 0.9.10.1 as opposed to 0.9.10. If you experience any issues that aren't listed in the list of known issues feel free to let us know.

Fender FUSE for Mac OS X public beta 0.9.10.1

Okay, I'm beginning to feel like an idiot. I've downloaded the new version; it installed, and it launched just fine. Unfortunately, I can't get it to do anything for the amp. I'm connected via the USB cable that came with the amp, and I've entered USB mode (or at least I think I have). The screen on the amp says "USB DRIVE... Unmount Drives Before Exiting," but the amp is not visible in the computer's Finder, on the desktop, or in FUSE, which says "No Amplifier Connected" in the lower left corner of the screen.

Any ideas? Apologies in advance if there is an obvious fix.

Thanks.

After reading your post I went to see if mine worked.. I started fuse then plugged in usb connection then turned on amp.. after the amp booted it showed up as connected at the bottom of the fuse screen... I opened a preset I downloaded from the Fender site and it showed up in the amp so it appears to work .... Hopefully I'll get more time to play with it tomorrow.

I've downloaded and Installed the Beta version and it definitely will not run on a Mac with a Power PC processor running 10.5.8 I've searched to see if the Beta will run on a Power PC but can't find any info on the Fender site.
Does anyone know if the Beta is compatible or wether we have to wait for the full release before being able to use the software.
Or if it won't be released to run on older macs.

Hello Mickk,

Fender FUSE currently supports Mac's with Intel processors and Mac OS X 10.5 or later installed. We have no plans to support Power PC machines at this time. We are sorry for any inconvenience.

This is contrary to what you have stated in a previous thread you started. You may want to feature this info prominently for those customers that have been mislead.

And I feel i have been misled.
I have been reading this board for some time, whilst waiting for the G Dec3 release.

I KNEW I'd seen something suggesting the software would run on the Mac model I owned. Which had a bearing on me deciding to buy it.

http://www.fender.com/community/forums/ ... hp?t=33126

To now know that it won't really burns my bacon.

It's no small issue to me to have to now go and buy a NEW COMPUTER to enjoy the full functionality of the G Dec 3.

I'm sure most people in this situation would feel just as P$%^ed Off.
Sorry for any Inconvenience Phhhhht.

Hello Guys,

I want to apologize again for all of this. This may not do much to help your situations but let me explain what happened.
Being mostly Mac users ourselves, we wanted to support as many Macs as we possibly could. As more time passed we realized that it just wasn't possible to support the older Power PC architecture. Simply put, the tools we needed to create Fender FUSE for Mac and keep it current going forward into the future didn't allow us to create Power PC compatible apps. Most of the companies that develop Mac software have gone through this same thing with new apps that don't have an existing Power PC version. That is why fewer and fewer new apps are being written as Power PC compatible.
The problem in this case stems from the fact that you, the customers, were not kept up to date with the new information that Power PC Mac's won't be supported. For that I take full responsibility.

On a side note, the issue with importing Fender FUSE presets downloaded from the web is being resolved and will possibly be fixed today. Once this is resolved you should not have any issues downloading a preset from the Fender FUSE Community and loading it directly into your amp. Hopefully, this will add some value to the amp that many of you haven't been able to use all of the features of.
