We at Fender® would like to extend our apologies to the G-DEC® 3 amp owners who are waiting for the Mac OS X version of Fender FUSE™. We understand your frustration, as many of us here are Mac users as well. The good news is that a working version is very close to official release. In the meantime, we are pleased to announce a public beta version of Fender FUSE for Mac OS X.
For those unfamiliar with the term “public beta,” this common industry term simply means that the software has been found to be functionally complete, and will satisfy most user requirements, but is in the process of final testing.
The official version of Fender FUSE for Mac will be released shortly, so you are by no means required to download this public beta. Should you decide to download it, please read the list of known issues below prior to downloading. If you have questions or concerns, you are welcome to contact our Technology Support Lab at TSL@fender.com.
Thank You!

Some users may experience the following:
•Backup/Restore not fully functional
•G-DEC 3 amplifier appears to be in a “hanging” state if connected to the Mac while Fender FUSE is not running.
•FUSE quits when either the app icon or shortcut to the app is clicked when FUSE is running.
•Band Tracks will not play in Fender FUSE when DEC Audio is selected as the audio device in the “Sound” system preferences pane.
This may cause a conflict when previewing Band Tracks to download in a web browser from the Fender FUSE Community web site.
If previewing of Band Tracks through the Fender G-DEC 3 is desired, DEC Audio (currently) needs to be selected as the audio device in the "Sound" system preferences pane.
•Audio playback from web browser & other applications require user to adjust audio preference pane setting.
•Preset Information dialog box text is not highlighted.
•Two consecutive right-clicks on Preset or Band Track in Media Library shows Silverlight context menu.

Hey Agentm,

It sounds like FUSE is being recognized and installed fine but won't launch. What are the specs of your Mac. Please feel free to give us a call at 480-596-7195 so we can help you get going.

Loren

Same exact issue: installed all 3 pieces, found the Fuse icon in Applications, and it won't launch. Tried restarting, too. I'm running on a MacBook w/ Intel Core 2 Duo (2 GHz) and 2 GB RAM. I'm running Mac OS 10.6.3.

Please let me know if there's something else I can try.

Thanks.

I'm in the same boat as everyone else. All apps install. Then when I click on Fender Fuse app launcher nothing happens. Ideas?

I have the same problem.
Installed all three applications. Shut down the Mac, restarted, clicked the FenderFuse icon in application and nothing happens.
I have a MacBook Pro from June 2009, Snow Leopard OS.

Very mysterious. Even if it´s a beta version you would imagine that the developers have tested the installation procedure on a Mac before releasing???????

I do, however, appreciate that Fender is working to solve the problem.

When I talked with Allan at Fender he said that so far I was the only one reporting this problem and they had sen this only with one machine when they tested... looks like I am NOT the only one with this problem....

Allan is supposed to contact me today and see if they could work thru this with me.... I suggest that if you have this problem you POST here so Fender knows what type machines and how widespread the problem is.....

I can tell you that I have tried the exact same installation procedure on my iMac and the same thing happened. So now it is a least four Mac computers in the world where this problem has occured ;-))

Great question... yesterday they released the beta and I was one of the first to call and my guess is your right its a bigger problem than they think.... anyway- if Fender doesn't post a resolution after I talk with them I will... provided there is one.

You guys are not alone. I am new to the Fender Forums. I signed up just so I could post that I am experiencing the same problem. Installed the Fender Fuse beta as well as the Silverlight and other plug and when I try to launch Fender Fuse nothing happens. Tried rebooting and reinstalling a few times and nothing happens. Am on a late 2009 21.5" iMac with 2.4Ghz Core 2 Duo, 4Gb Ram.

Thanks,

Adam

Just got off the phone with the customer support. They acknowledged the problem. Said that they were working on an update and that it should be released today, within hours. (By Friday evening). Hope that helps. He said it had to do with that Mono program that was included.
