I was originally able to set my QA keys to presets without any trouble. I recently changed one of my QA keys to a new preset and verified that it was stored by changing to a different QA preset and then back. However, I just discovered that after powering the G-DEC off the new QA preset was not saved. When I powered up the G-DEC the QA was set back to the original preset.

I set the preset by holding the QA key while turning the knob to the new preset. I also tried setting the QA key through the Utility menu, and had the same result.

I then tried to change one of the other QA keys, and it also went back to the original setting after cycling the power, but the first QA key I tried to change now has the preset I changed it to.

The G-DEC software is 1.02. Has anyone else noticed strange behavior with the QA keys?

Hello Freehbird,

I'm not sure if you're powering down the amp immediately after changing QA presets but you may want to wait about 15-20 seconds before you power it down. The reason for this is that there is sort of a "timed backup" on the amp for saving settings that kicks in about 20 seconds after you make a change. If you make a change to QA presets or UTIL menu system settings and then immediately power the amp down those setting will most likely not be saved. Wait about 20 seconds before powering the amp down and you shouldn't have any problems.

Loren thanks for the info. After changing my QA presets I waited before I cycled the power, and the presets were stored correctly.
