First post. Picked up a G-Dec 30 (3) yesterday - along with a Classic Vibe Tele Custom.

The amp is great, the guitar is great. I am somewhat disappointed though as I am a Mac user - no Fuse for me..... I was given a demo of the Fuse software in the store where I bought the rig and that really is what sold me on it, there was no mention of a Mac version not being available.

I have had a frustrating time with downloading presets. I haven't plugged the USB in to my Mac yet, but after downloading presets onto an SD card they all come up as 'Invalid File' when trying to access them in the Utility menu... They do have the extension .fuse, I don't if that is the problem.

Anyway, glad this forum is here, if anyone has any insight into this preset stuff I would appreciate it.

Same exact problem here. It seems that Mac users have no way of loading presets onto the G-DEC, unless I'm missing something. FUSE is apparently unavailable, and the SD route results in "invalid file."

Some Fender support would be welcome on this frustrating topic. I've missed an obvious work-around or two in my life.

Thanks!

I'm sorry to hear that I'm not the only one having grief.... The amp is going back to the store tomorrow.... with a large amount of regret. It is a great tool but it's only half a tool without Fuse. The lack of deep editing, the organizational features and downloading/uploading make it worth less than half of what I paid..... I could buy a 30 watt modelling amp, plug an MP3 player into the aux input and have close to the same thing.... The more I think about this the more disappointing it is.

In a related thread a Fender employee indicated that the Mac version of Fuse would be available soon.

I did see that post. I know that 'soon' does not necessarily mean next week or next month... 6 months from now is more like it. If they could give an actual time frame I might be more likely to hold on. The vagueness of 'soon' says to me that it is going to be a while.
