When I login from Fuse I receive the message "unhandled exception has occured in your application." If I click continue it logs me in.

When logging in I also always click on the remember me box, but it never seems to store my login.

Anyone else having these issues?

Hi Freehbird,

I am sorry to hear that you are having trouble. I would like to get some additional information regarding the issue you are seeing. If you would like, you can call us at 480-596-7195, and ask to be transferred to Alan in the TSL. Or you can email us at ConsumerRelations@Fender.com, and include in the subject line "FUSE software issue/fwd to Alan at TSL", it should come directly to me.

I would like to know if you are referring to logging in to the Fender FUSE Community? Also, I will need to know what operating system you are on, what hardware you have (i.e. processor, clock speed, Ram, etc.), and what version of Fender FUSE you have installed.

If you have any version of Fender FUSE installed before 1.1.0, I would highly recommend that you update to 1.1.0. The updated version of Fender FUSE can be found here: [http://www.fender.com/support/gdec3/article.php?kb_id=48]
Please let me know how it is going, and if you need further assistance.

I am having the same problem. I am also getting it when I try to copy a preset from the computer to SD card using Fender FUSE. I copied the first Jeff Beck preset to a SD card with no problem, the second preset locked up the amp (I had the SD card in the amp. Amp hooked up to computer). I had to pull the USB card and power down the amp to unlock it. After powering up the amp and hooking everything back up I get the "unhandled exception" pop up when I try to copy a preset to SD.
I tried to copy with the SD card in my computer, same result.
I have the latest 1.1.0. and I am running Windows 7.

Hi jmontgomery,

I am sorry to hear that you are having issues with Fender FUSE & Presets. I am sending your information directly to our Engineers here. I will follow up with a post as soon as I have more information. This should be later today.

In the mean time, definitely use Fender FUSE to upload/download and manage your Presets. This should work. Also, can you please let me know what OS your on, service pack, and the processosr type & speed, as well as installed ram? Also, can you power off/on your Fender G-DEC 3 and confirm the firmware version? This can be done by watching the lower right coner of the display while powering on. It should say v1.02. This will be helpful information for our Engineers.

And can you please tell me if Fenfer FUSE is able to function correctly with your Presets with an occational error message? Or is it bringing up error messages consistantly, etc.?

Thanks very much for your patience while we get this sorted out.

I tried to copy a preset to the SD card again. No go. The amp freezes up on "updating files". Last night I copied the preset "jeffbeckclean" with no problems, taking only a couple of minutes. Tried "jeffbeckecho" and the amp showed updating files for over two hours. I unplugged USB and powered down/powered up to get amp working.
Tried again today. Same result. Amp locked up. Tried a second file and got an exception error.
My Gdec 3 30 is V1.02 Fuse is V1.1.0

Laptop is running Windows 7 Home Premium
AND Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Processor TK-51 1.90GHz
RAM 2.00GB
System type 32 bit operating system.

Like I said, the first preset file loaded on the SD card fine.
My SD card is a 8GB SanDisk SDHC card.

Hi jmontgomery,

OK. In the situation you are describing, are you doing this through Fender FUSE? I am referring to downloading as well as adding the Preset to your amp through Fender FUSE. And can you confirm that your SD card is formatted in FAT32 rather than NTFS? Thanks very much.

Yes downloading presets and trying to install on SD card both thru FUSE.
My SD is formatted in FAT32.
I'm going to delete the presets and try downloading them again. Maybe something happened during the download. One preset did work the first time.

Thanks

I used Fuse to download the five Jeff Beck presets into the Gdec 3 30. I couldn't change the preset number 11 without getting comunication errors and powering down the amp. I did work around it by putting it on the 00 preset, hitting save, then turning to preset 11, then hitting save the second time. I didn't have any problems changing the other 4 presets.
I tried again to copy presets from the computer to the SD card (using FUSE). It again locked up the amp.
I did write a preset to the SD card using just the amps utility menu.

Here's another thing that might help you figure this problem out.

On the Fender Fuse icon that I click to open the program, there is the "user account control" shield on top of it( Fuse icon ). When I open the program I get the user account control pop-up "Do you want to allow the following program from an unknown publisher to make changes to this computer".

One more thing. I only get the "unknown exception" when logging into FUSE when I check the "remember me" box. I do not get the exception when I don't check the box.

Thanks,

Jeff M
