Is there a way to create a playlist or put backing tracks in a specific order or setlist?

Good question. I've read the manual and could not find an answer. Would like to know also. Would not like to scroll alphabetically.

I got my GDEC 3 Thirty last night and so far I'm very happy with it. I was able to get the FUSE software up and running and talking with the amp no problem. You do need to download the update to version 1.1.0 in order for the media list to work properly.

I still have not been able to find a way to organize backing tracks in any other way than the alphabetical sort it does by default. Unfortunatley we usually don't play our songs in alphabetical order. ; )

I did have the idea of setting up the presets in set order because you can attach a backing track to a preset so theoretically you could have preset 00 be song 1, preset 01 be song 2 etc. But that would be a lot to change and reprogram everytime you want to change a set list.

So I would say it would be a wishlist item to be able to somehow incorporate a playlist type of feature or a way you can organize songs in a certain order within the FUSE software and then send that out to the amp.

You could create different set lists as you suggested and save them on an SD card.

Try naming your backing tracks with leading numbers instead of alpha characters to set the order.

I was actually going to suggest that. Great idea.

That's how I'm handling it and of course that will work, but still on the "wishlist" front, it would be a nice feature to have the ability to create set lists without having to rename files all the time for different set list order/configuration. And if that could be handlded somehow in the FUSE software that would be really cool. Thanks again. Love the amp so far. I own the original GDEC, the GDEC 30 and now the GDEC 3 Thirty and I've got to say that the improvements to this newest unit are wonderful.

Thanks!

Bob

I'm glad you like the amp. I'll pass all of the suggestions along to the engineers here.

Thanks! I used my new GDEC 3 Thirty last night to rehearse with our backing tracks and it worked out great. It was nice to assign the backing tracks to the stereo outs on the back only, and then assign my guitar to the speaker only. I like being able to start the tracks with the footswitch. It is important to remember to change the mode after you hit the start button if you plan to use the QA1, QA2 & QA3 buttons to change presets during the song. Otherwise you stop the current backing track. But that's a user error thing.

Again I appreciate you passing the "wishlist" item on to the engineering team.

Take care,

Bob

Another wishlist item I can think of would be an easier way or viewing all of the presets, with the ability to rearrange them.

Some type of interface to sequence the preset order rather than saving each preset to a new target would be great.

After only a couple days of test driving the amp I love it. It sounds great, and it has great features.

I just bought the G-Dec 3-30 about a week ago.
Most of the band tracks in this thing I will never use.
I have downloaded some killer country backing tracks to an SD card on my computer, how do I over write the band tracks in the amp using the SD card?
I have the latest version of Fender Fuse 1.1.2

Hey Boogietonker2,

Congrats on your purchase. If you would like to delete some of the Band Tracks on your amp feel free to do so. All factory Band Tracks are located on the G-DEC 3 DVD as well as on the Fender FUSE Community so if you would like to reload some of them you can. The best way to add new Band Tracks to the amp is through the USB Drive mode in the UTIL menu on the amp. Once in USB Drive mode, your amp's internal memory along with any inserted SD cards will appear in "My Computer" as removable storage like a USB flash drive, for example. Just drag your Band Tracks into the Audio folder on the G-DEC's internal drive and you're done. If you need any further assistance let me know.

Hello Lauren
Thanks for such a quick response on my G Dec 3-30 question. I gotta a couple of tracks in the amp this morning. It was a little confusing but I think I got it figured out. Again, thanks for the help. I think I'm gonna love this amp.

For some presets I like to name them similar to the band track to help me remember the tone
