Do these operate separately or work together?

These operate seperatly. Amplitube is a well known tool and we are now providing the Fender edition of this tool.

Fender FUSE works in conjunction with your G-DEC 3 and is intended to be an enhancement to that experience.

So these are used for recording "from" it....and the SD cards are for recording "to" it?

Not exaclty no.

You record from the amp into the PC, although the amp does have a phrase sampler.

The SD card is really to give you additional storage capacity on the amp to load audio tracks, presets, etc.

Okay thanks!

I'm using Ableton Live software, I could track with that from the amp.

If I wanted to export a backing track to the amp, is it the same as the old GDEC-30?

The method for adding backing tracks to the amp is completely different than the previous G-DEC 30 and there's actually 3 different ways to do it this time around. You can copy files to certain folders on an SD card and then put that card in the amp for playback, you can have the amp mount like 2 big USB jump drive's using a menu option in utility mode, or you can transfer files with the help of Fuse. The reason you'll see 2 drives mount if you use the utility mode option is because you have the internal drive(roughly 250 MB), and the SD card slot.

They work together, select fender asio in the audio setup.
Since there is no clean channel on the G DEC use blackface clean.

Pretty slick.

Cheers

I have both Amplitube 3 and the full Amplitube Fender software and have used it for a long time.
Is it possible to export presents to my G-DEC 3 amp, or can I use the G-DEC 3 as an "audio interphase"?

I work on a MacBook pro.

Hi Benny,

Yes, AmpliTube full version should output audio the same AmpliTube Fender LE. In regard to exporting Presets (from AmpliTube?) to your Fender G-DEC 3; no you would not be able to do this. However, keep in mind that you can always use AmpliTube (either version) as a plugin with the software of your choice, Live Lite Fender Edition for example.

I hope this information is helpful. If you need further assistance, please contact us. Thanks.

Hi Alan,
Thanks for your reply. First of all the FenderFuse for Mac works fine and I enjoy the product.
What would take it to the next level would be if I could use my G-DEC 3 the same way I use i.e. my Apogee Duet. In other words; connect the G-DEC3 to my Mac, open the full Amplitube 3, and select G-DEC3 as the audio interphase.

From your answer it looks like this should be possible so I will try it later tonigt.

Thanks again,

Benny

Is it possible to export presets from Amplitube to my Fender Mustang III (V2)?
I have IK StealthPlug, Amplitube 3, Amplitube Metal, Fender Fuse and combo Fender Mustang III (V2).
I do not like any sond from my combo and from Fender Fuse.

I try to get a special heavy metal sound with Amplitube Metal.

Can I transfer the sound I want from my computer (obteined with Amplitube) to my Fender Mustang III (V2) ?
Will be remain the sound in the amplifier without having to use the computer ?

Hi costelradu,

No, unfortunately it is not possible to transfer or use models/tones from IK Multimedia AmpliTube to your Fender® Mustang™ amp. Your best bet would be to search on the Fender FUSE Community site for a similar Mustang Preset that you can use (and possibly edit to taste). Please let us know if we can assist further.

Best Regards,
