I've used the Mustang 3 (v.2) for several years and have really enjoyed it. I have always used the built in effects, but I have recently bought some real pedals that I would like to try. I was wondering if there is anyway to change the order of the real pedals and the built in effects in the chain.

For instance, if I use a real modulation effect and an overdrive pedal built into the amp I assume the chain would be:

guitar > modulation (real) > OD (built-in).

Is there any way I can reverse that so the chain goes in this order:

guitar > OD (built-in) > modulation (real)

Thanks for any help.

(BTW, I'm not really interested in the different theories on what order of effects sound best. I just want to know what is possible with the Mustang)

I'm not sure how things work between physical pedals, and the amps built in (Fuse) effects...have never tried it with my Mustang. But I DO know when messing around with actual pedals through a non-modeling amp (be it 'loop' or 'in-front'), all I do is switch things around until I find a sound that is pleasing to my ears.
I say, enjoy yourself and just do some experimenting.

I have experimented with a Chorus pedal on my Super Champ X2, and I just put it in-front of my amps built in effects, and it worked fine...but it's not an overdrive.

Thanks. My pedals are starting to arrive. I'll start experimenting.
