It has been pointed out that not all presets are desirable.
How do I go about moving the four or five that I do like to the first positions on the amplifier

Any help is appreciated..

Depending on the Mustang model you have, mine's a IV, page 8 of your Advanced Owners Manual headed 'Saving Presets' - pick a preset that you like (I chose 83 'Basic Studio Pro) with the DATA WHEEL, make any alterations you might like such as volume and tone levels, of reverb or whatever, then hit SAVE button, turn the DATA WHEEL again to say position 00, press the DATA WHEEL if you want to edit the name of this preset and then hit SAVE again to confirm.
You should now have the preset you chose set at position 00 and that will be the one the Mustang defaults to at power on.
Repeat with any other presets you want to 'move down'.
