I can't install Fuse download on my MacBook. Message says not an identifiable Developer. What gives, is there a way around this?

Just got the Passport Mini and installed FUSE on a Mac (Sierra 10.5).
I found the forum and since people write about things not working,
I thought I'd share my experice with this.

MacOS 10.5 really want to protect you computer so the installation
need som extra steps. I started with installing
first, since this needs to be installed when the FUSE package is installed.
This is found in the
/Volumes/Fender FUSE Installer/Fender FUSE Installer.app/Contents/Resources

(To get there I opened "Terminal" in Application/Utilities. In this window you can type
open "/Volumes/Fender FUSE Installer/Fender FUSE Installer.app/Contents/Resources"
and the click on the

It fails to install first due to security settings, but after first try,
I opened
Preferences - > Security & Privacy
to allow this intaller to run (found under the General Tab).

After this, the main installation works. I had to allow this package to install in the Preferences again.

(The real solution for this is for Fender to get their application signed, or have in Apple's App Store.)

This works fairly fine. One thing that does not work is searching
to the web, even if I'm logged in. I can open the "Web community" view
and browse the presets, but after clocking the first "Download", this
window is blank. I guess this is because Fender has chosen to have Flash
content as part of the downloading stuff. My work around is to use Safari
and, after allowing Flash for these pages, I can download presets, and then
import them from the FUSE application.

I do feel worried about the lack of support from Fender, that several
persons have expressed in this forum. I Fender stops maintaning this,
they should release cthe code to the public domain.

I hope this project
will be successful.

Hope this helps you and maybe someone else.

When you start the installation you'll get this screen: (but with the fender fuse installation mentioned in it)
Press O.K.
Immediately after that go to "System Preferences">"Security & Privacy"

Then in this screen press "Open Anyway"

I had the same problem with my MacBook Pro. After installing the two required software packages outlined in the instructions, Fuse still would not install even after I solved the "unidentified" problem.
I merely clicked on the Fender icon on the installer window and dragged it to my desktop. I then clicked on the freshly copied icon and the installation proceeded as expected. Thanks so much for your help!

Hi, I did reinstall Mac OS on an external ssd disk. Then did download FenderFUSE_FULL_2.7.1.dmg, Silverlight.dmg and XQuartz-2.7.11.dmg.
After the installation (Fuse was the last) it opens the Fuse window with the advise "Loading. Please wait..." and does not go on. The system was restard too.
I still have the sistem on the internal disk a Fuse works. Any help to solve the problem ?
