I've tried the compatibility troubleshooter, installing a virtual machine... but nothing works. When will fender update the app? I'm regretting buying this amp..

I'm on a Mac, so apologies, I can't help you there. But I can tell you that the likelihood of an app update is zero. It's been over five years (!) since Fender asked for feedback regarding what we'd like to see added to FUSE.

Must be some config issue. My Fuse runs fine on Windows 10, and I didn't do anything other than a normal install.

From what I can tell, problems arise when Microsoft updates Silverlight, and the update removes some older Silverlight stuff that FUSE needs. The workaround is then to reinstall FUSE.
If you installed FUSE after the latest Silverlight update, you probably won't see any problems. Until Microsoft updates Silverlight again.

Some people have run into this problem with Fuse not running under Windows 10.
Fenders spec says it does not support win 10.
Even so, some peoples computers seem to run it OK.
Just try running Fuse in compatibility mode for Windows 7. This has helped people that have had problems with Win 10.
Hope this helps; Good luck and Happy New Year!

I cannot even install it on Win10 .. "Installer integrety check has failed" it tells me :( my own computer, ofcourse tried installing as admin also. A Fender guitar amp is not something that should go out of date every 2 years? The Mustangs are designed to connect 2 a computer right? This could be fixed quite easily I assume.. Pls do (and if the solution is out there and my google searches did not find it.. sorry in advance) :)

Take a look at the following https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7NFaJtbv6fI
Hopefully this will help you to be able to do an install of Fuse Software.
Once installed, run the Fuse software in compatability mode for Windows 7.
Don't run the compatability program in Windows 10. Instead; right click the Fuse exe and click properties. Then click the compatability tab. Click the box alongside Run this program in compatability mode. Then below that select windows 7. Then click apply.
Exit by clicking OK. This hopefully will get things going for you. Good luck.
Happy New Year.
John.

Designed to connect to a 2012 era computer. No updates since 2014. Lots of things aren't working with newer computers, including lack of high dpi scaling support and reliance on old Silverlight libraries.
It's planned obselescence. You're supposed to toss the Mustang and buy the new one that's launched at NAMM next week. That's what makes Fender money.

If you have an Android Device Smartphone or Tablet that supports USB On The Go, you'll be far better off using the REMUDA App. REMUDA does things Fuse lack and has far greater functionality right from your mobile device.

[Note: If you need to update an old Mustang to the not quite as old current firmware which is still several years old, FUSE must be used for that procedure.]

Next week's NAMM Show should reveal what Fender has been hinting at for a new line of mobile device controllable amps. Not yet clear if these are a replacement for the Mustangs, or simply another branch of Fender's product line of their "Contemporary Digital" amps. We'll know by next Thursday when the NAMM show kicks in to full gear.
