So my fender fuse stopped recognizing my amp even though its plugged in, it worked normally until recently. I tried reinstalling microsoft silverlight, I tried reinstalling the Fuse and even reinstalled windows. Nothing really helped. My usb connection works for sure as I am able to see the amp under sound devices.
Here is what I get in log files:
2016-10-30 00:35:13.8238 Fender.Fuse.Program Starting FUSEServer version: 2.7.1.48
2016-10-30 00:35:14.8007 Fender.Fuse.Program Servers started.
2016-10-30 00:35:15.6596 Fender.Fuse.MicroSocketServer New client connection.
2016-10-30 00:37:44.2220 Fender.Fuse.MicroSocketServer Stopping...

2016-10-30 00:37:44.2500 Fender.Fuse.MicroSocketServer Stopped.
2016-10-30 00:37:44.2500 Fender.Fuse.Program Finished requesting shut down. Anything still running in a few seconds shouldn't be.
This is really annoying as I can not put new effects onto the amp. Also for some reason it works on other user accounts on the same PC but I can't get it to work on my user account.
I am running Windows 10 and all the necessary software is up to date.
Any kind of help would be appreciated :)

consider yourself lucky, Macs won't even recognize the amp, a tech told me 2 years ago that they aren't supporting the software...I wouldn't hold my breath. just sell it or return it and get something that works as advertised. Fender is so full of beans. They will lie to your face to get you off the phone.

Out of curiosity, just how do you think it's helpful to post this? Or was this meant as nose rubbing?

Because the logs indicate that it's a problem opening a listening socket, I can think of several possible causes. Two of them are:
- Another application already listening on that port.
- A firewall-like application blocks the port by default.

For the first, try to stop other programs one by one and see whether FUSE starts after stopping one of them. It could even be another instance of FUSE that has crashed but holds on to the socket, so use the task manager.

For the second, turn up logging in the firewall (which may be part of an antivirus solution) until you see which port was blocked. Then allow that port.

On my Mustang 1 V2, if the amp is on when I start Fuse, it doesn't see the amp until I unplug the USB cable and then plug it back in. Or, just start Fuse before turning the amp on.
