I would love to see Fender bring out a version of Fuse that can be used on iPads.

If that offers more features than the current PC/OSX version, especially with regards to preset management that would be an insta-buy for me.

I would love to see Fender do ANYTHING with the Mustang line, I think they're done with developing on or for it.

My plan for iOS is dependent on getting the Bluetooth mods incorporated into Remuda AND coming up with a reasonably priced piece of hardware to act as the Bluetooth/USB Transceiver. User, ttbit, on the Les Paul forums and I have had some discussion about using a single board computer but I am not current on what he come up with. It is a shame that Apple has made it financially infeasible for a small publisher/developer to use their Camera Connector hardware. You need to join their Hardware Partners program and go through a major certification process. Cheers.

I have started work on an iOS app. It's not a trivial operation and it can't work without some other computer connected to the amp. As others have said, Apple do not allow HID (Human Interface Device) or USB access from iOS (in fact HID is the one big one, USB is only needed to find the amp, not to talk to it). I wrote my own FUSE that runs on MacOS and takes bluetooth commands from an iPhone. The intermediate could be a Raspberry Pi or Windows Laptop though. It just needs to be able to convert bluetooth commands to the language the amp understands.

Right now I'm waiting to hear what Fender think of me developing such a thing (1 week and counting). Whether I would be allowed to market it and whether I am contravening any of their patents/copyrights.

The thing that is interesting however is there have recently been comments about a bluetooth amp. This would change the playing field completely. It could mean that direct communication from an iOS device to the amp would be possible

Great idea!
For now I use XLR line out and Line 6 Sonic Port to connect with my iPhone or iPad for recordings by Garageband or Multitrack DAW :-)
