Looks like the new VOX amps are going to give FUSE a real run for the $$$. I've used JamVOX. It is what FUSE could be. At $249 for the 40watt x 10" I have to have it.

Let's see if I got this right. JamVOX cost $100, FUSE is free. You think JamVOX is better than FUSE. What am I missing? For $100 it should be better.....

wow, $100? In addition to the cost of the amp?

So lets say 5000 people buy "JamVOX"

5000 X $100 = $500,000

I bought JamVOX on promo for $29.00 - absolutely blows the doors off FUSE.

The new VOX amp includes a special version of JamVOX that allows control of the amp from your computer like FUSE but 1,000x more capable than FUSE.

I still really dig my Fender Mustang III and have no intention of ever letting it go... it has some brilliant Fender emulations (naturally!) :mrgreen:

I recently purchased the Roland Blues Cube. The purchase of the Blues Cube made me realize how brilliant ethe Fender Mustang III really is... it does a fine job of keeping up with this $700 amp!!!

$29 isn't too bad. I'd gladly pay that for a more fully-featured FUSE.

I feel like I already bought Fuse when I bought the amp. It is a digital modeling amp after all.

Fender Mustang III (100 Watt/12" Speaker):
AMP - $300
SOFTWARE = $29.99
TOTAL: $329.99

Vox VT100X (100 Watt/12" Speaker):
AMP = $349.99
SOFTWARE = $29-100
TOTAL: $378.99-449.99

You're looking at the old stuff.

The amp and software street at $249. This is what I'm referring to:

Looks like ALL the competitors are giving Fuse the run for the $$$! Have you seen the Code series from Marshall. I think Fuse and the current Mustang series are being left to die :!: :roll:

They could have the best software ever, but if the amp doesn't sound right, I'll pass.

So far I haven't heard any convincing demos of the "Code" tone-wise. Sounds like Marshall-ville with a weak clean sound to me, but who knows, maybe it's different in person.

I'm with you - the preset demo at Sweetwater goes over many sounds... they all sound very strident, wallpaper remover like. Perhaps just a bad record quality on the vid... not sure. I was really disappointed to learn that it does not include a CPU editor like FUSE :shock:
