I don't know why but I hoped that a new version of FUSE will be announced during NAMM. But it seems that Fender finally decided to concentrate on amps with valve technology. What a pity.

Are you saying Fender has been LYING to us all these years?

What a surprise.

Latest from Fender, back in 2014:
"we would like to reassure users of Fender FUSE that Fender is indeed continuing development on the Fender FUSE software"

Note the wording. That they would like to doesn't mean they do.
There are plenty of things I'd like to, but I never do.

With any communication from Fender or other large corporations, make sure you read what they actually say, and don't parse it through wishful thinking.

At this point, it should be clear even to the die-hards that FUSE is abandonware. There's some 3rd party life support with Remuda, but to get new features, look elsewhere.

As for nothing new for NAMM, it's been clear for a while now that Fender is realigning its business and focusing on core products like mid-to-high end guitars and amps, divesting itself of the cheaper end of the market. Fender China and Japan are gone, for example. I would not be surprised if the next cheap solid state amp will be called Squier and not Fender.

I wouldn't care if the new amp models would have the name "Squier" as long as the new fuse version supports the old Mustang amps. And I wouldn't even care if the software would have the logo "Squier". What I care about is sound and functionality.

Me too. They can brand it "Cheap China Music Instruments" for all I care.

Regarding branding the Mustang series as 'Squier', IMO it does not make sense because the amp primarily models Fender products. Y.M.M.V.

Regardless that Fender has not updated FUSE since 2014, the Android Remuda App is continually bringing new features (that FUSE lacks) to Mustang all the time!

Some of these include:
● Android 3.x and newer Smartphone and Tablet Touchscreen convenience
● Easy Drag and Drop Preset Reorganizing
● Display Presets by Name or Number
● Display of Favorite Presets
● Performance Mode allows Sets of Multiple Presets per Song
● Dynamic Quick Access Preset mapping to footswitch buttons per Song
● Effect Settings Memory remembers how you like your FX to be set when added to a Preset
● Amp Settings Memory remembers how you like your Amps to be set when added to a Preset
● Visual Indication of changed Parameter Values by Color and Flag
● Fine Control Plus (+) and Minus (-) Value Parameter Buttons

Sounds great but I am using iOS and Mac only. Do you plan to publish a version for iOS?

My understanding is that Remuda's Developer has no intention to develop a Remuda version for iOS nor Mac devices, due to Apple's Policies, Procedures, and Pricing for candidate programs.

99,- US$ for a complete membership including all development tool, complete access to the app store etc. etc.
I am sure they could make 1k US$ the first weekend when they release the software for iOS if they just charge 4,99 US$ per copy.

That's a question you should ask yourself too.

The effort to port an app between the two operating systems is not negligible. It's not something you do overnight. Especially not if you don't have any iOS developers. Buying a dev toolkit doesn't mean you'll be instantly be familiar with it. It's a large time investment.

The Android version has, after months, reached the milestone of 50 sold copies.
What, exactly, makes you think that he'll sell more than 200 copies the first weekend for iOS, which has a much smaller global market share than Android?

And if it did because you'd buy 200 copies to prove yourself right, what makes you think that $1000 would cover the weeks or months of work learning iOS development, style guides, debugging and troubleshooting, and work on the port?

The effort to port an app - yes this can be tricky if you don't plan ahead.

The number of copies sold for any iOS app is ALWAYS higher than on Android.
Someone who spent 500 US$ for an iOS device is definitely more likely to spend money for a good piece of software than the if you just grabbed any Android device for 50 US$ from the drugstore. Did you know that 80% of all mobile purchases in the last year Blackfriday Campaign was done through an iOS device (check IBM website if you want the details)? And did you know that 75% of all mobile web traffic ist done from iOS devices? These things are really used and most people playing guitar as a hobby don't care if it is cheap. They are going from American Elite and Custom Shop guitars and iOS devices. And I would expect that in this forum are a lot more iOS users than Android users.

What we need is a poll!!! But, (somewhat sober second thought) how would we know if all of the forum users who have tablets/smart phones have responded????
trouble, trouble :(

Gerritw, my post reiterates Remuda's Developer's sentiment.

You are free to disagree.

Send Remuda's Developer an email.

this is a very misguided statement. If for no other reason, because there are apps available on Andriod that are not available on iOS and vice-versa. And if you're going out on a limb with specific data like that, you should really give a source.
