Hi Michael J Cooper,

I'm sorry to hear that you are having some troubles with your amp. I would suggest that you try a Factory reset. Keep in mind that this will overwrite any custom data you have stored on your amp currently.

To perform a Factory reset, press and hold the Save, Drums & Exit buttons on your amp while powering it on. Allow it to power on fully. Once the amp is powered up fully, it should be restored back to Factory stock. Then you can test for functionality. Please let us know if we can assist further.

Best Regards,

Alan

sound problem: 2006 G-DEC 30

while I'm playing, every once in a while all sound cuts from the amp and instead a short loud burst of "tv" static comes out, then my amp comes back to normal sound. What's happening? (nothing on the amp screen changes or turns off, no lights flash)
p.s. I just purchased a mustang pedal, this also happened same day first time. coincidence?
speaker?
circuit board?
connections?
age?
compatible mustang pedal?

is this repairable?

Hi gdec30dude,

In regard to your older Fender® G-DEC® 30, I would suggest the same reset procedure as listed above. This will be the primary repair/reset option for that specific model. In regard to your Mustang™ Floor and it cutting out, it may be coincidence. However, if both units continue to cut out at the same time in the future, I would suggest that you look beyond the individual components and check the electrical service for the room, cables, guitars, etc. It may suggest that there could be a common 'global' problem that needs to be addressed. Please let us know if we can assist further.

Best Regards,

Alan
