After playing around with my G-DEC 30 for maybe 5-10 minutes, it will suddenly lock up. The drums and bass stop, none of the buttons work, the dial has no effect. If I power off the G-DEC and turn it back on, everything works for a few more minutes and then the same problem happens again.
I love the amp but I cannot use it like this.
It has the latest update at 1.04.
I am not using the midi when this occurs.
Thanks for any help.
Ed

If this is a new amp, just take it back for a replacement. If used You will need to take it to a dealer for repair. I have had mine for 6 months now, play it every night... no problems so far, I think its a great amp for practice and fun.

Good Luck,

Bill

I have the same problem! I live abroad, and bought it from musiciansfriend, so returning it is not an option (huge shipping costs). I have had the same problem for months, and it is driving me nuts. I would love to know a solution for this.

I had a similar problem with my B-Dec 30. I contacted customer service and had a brand new unit in about 2 weeks.

Telephone: (480) 596-7195
Fax: (480) 367-5262
E-mail: consumerrelations@fender.com

A guy named Ed Treat should get in contact with you shortly. Just make sure you have a copy of your original receipt (my wife taught me to keep copies of all my receipts - it has save my bacon a few times). I hope you resolve your problems

Mine seems to have an overload or drop circuit protection
that could be called "sensitive." If there is a power surge
or drop, the unit can freeze. In this case, it hasn't been
a problem. Seems to me it is protecting delicate circuitry,
so I am cool with it.

That kind of makes since. I have the same problem. At home it works fine, when I take it to church to play, It often hangs up.

The pass player has a Furman power suppply with the LEDs. I can see the dirtyness and voltage variation in the signal.

If someone fings a workaround, please post. Its frustrating the have this behavior only when you need the amp to work the most.
