I was just reminiscing about how much fun I had with both my original G-DEC and G-DEC 3 Thirty. For solo practice or playing at home for personal enjoyment they were hard to beat.

Any chance that Fender might re-introduce the series, perhaps with the latest Mustang modeling engine?

I have posted this previously; but I think that incorporating the G-DEC backing tracks and its looper and abilty to transpose keys and adjust tempo along with Mustang V2s amp models and effects emulations would make one very mean practice amp! Also give it a card reader and strike a new deal with Hal Leonard to produce more Fender/Hal Leonard song and instruction books!

Sadly, I am sure that for Fender it is an issue of supply and demand. The product would appeal mostly to guitar beginners and students and thus would have to be fairly inexpensive despite having more features than any other amp on the market.

What I am really surprised at is that Fender hasn't followed suit with one of Mustang's chief competitors and launched a hybrid tube driven series of Mustangs!

I am kind of surprised Fender hasn't expanded on the G-Dec. Outside of the L6 Spider Jam it had no competition. In my experience, the G-DEC blew away the Spider Jam. I too, would love to see a Super Champ X2 x Mustang III x G-Dec III cross. That would be killer.

I'll never give up my G-Dec III 30 because it's the BEST practice amp that a learning guitarist could own.

+1 to that. It's also an excellent amp for recording with the stereo line outs.
