So, I was able to obtain all the available Hal Leonard GDEC books and the accompanying SD card. Much fun playing along with Jimi, SRV, ZZ Top, Tom Petty, AC/DC, Nirvana, Doors...

Does any other "place" (besides Hal Leonard) offer similar SD card instruction/play along media for the GDEC amps ? The music books now available are cool, but seem relatively limited for such an amp. Where's the Beatles, Stones, LZ, Metalica... the list goes on ?? So any others ?

Hi crust1,

We are glad to hear that you are enjoying the Hal Leonard Song Book titles with your amp. In regard to other content, we are not aware of any specific titles/publishers. However, your amp, of course is fully compatible with both mp3 and .wav file formats. So, if you find some additional content, just be sure that the audio files are one of these formats. And please let us know if we can assist further.

Best Regards,

Thanks for the reply. Yes, there are many resources available for music files. It looks like I'll be making my own SD cards from here on  I'm really enjoying working with this amp, too bad it is discontinued, its a cool amp, particularly fun running it from my computer, good stuff. Do you think Hal Leonard Company will make any additional GDEC books from other various music groups , or are they finished with what they have already released ? I'd certainly obtain any additional "play along" instruction books, if other (new) ones were released. I also have registered at "my GDEC" site. There is some excellent additional files and information relative to this particular amp at that site, more good stuff.

Hi crust,

Thanks for your reply. I can't make any comment on any possible future products from Fender® or Hal Leonard. But if any new related products are released, I'm sure that either Fender® or Hal Leonard will have the products up on the web.

Please let us know if we can assist further.

Best regards,

Congrats on the ZZ Top Hal Leonard book... I can't find it anywhere except a few Amazon posts for like $900 bucks! I thought maybe it was discontinued before it was released or something.

The books are great, the amp is great.... makes no sense they were discontinued! Fender should have made an upgraded G-DEC with a Celestion speaker and the Mustang V2 amp models and effects along with jam tracks, looper, memory card reader and the other G-DEC features and badged it as the Fender G-DEC Mustang Edition!
