Anyone know how to restore the memory on a GEC-3 when the memory is locked without using the jog wheel (the big grey wheel)?

It would appear I have a software error (1.04) that from time to time causes the jog wheel to be rendered totally useless.

The shop that I sent it back to managed to do a software reset (it cost me their time because it's out of warranty by a month or so!). They told me when they did it the memory wasn't locked. I got it back from them used the amp for 30 mins, the jog wheel's stopped working and the amp says memory locked!

Please help.

Thought these had a 5 year warranty?

First of all I'm in Europe and in Europe the 5 year doesn't apply.

Secondly the shop I bought it on gave me some hogwash about it being out of guarantee because I had bought it cheap on Ricardo (an Ebay competitor), which I find pretty cheeky. If I get time I'll have to look up my national consumer statory rights to see if that's a valid excuse.

The amp is now exactly a year old.

Definitely check on that. Sounds like they didn't exactly treat your right at all. What they did for you should have been "on them" to keep a customer happy. Good luck hope you get that figured out.
