Thanks for the follow-up, much appreciated to know that what I am looking for is not there.

I have hooked up a headphone jack to the line in of my sound card and that does allow me to get a more even playback.
The only issue doing that is this plays everything back through my surround speakers.
It sounds great but they are not guitar amp quality so you lose some of the "oomph" from the larger amp speaker.
And I found personally, it helps me to practice when my guitar is coming out of one source and the music I'm trying to follow/play with, is coming out another source.
Maybe it's just me...

But thank you again - I really appreciate the service and the help from everyone here.

Martin

Martin...
Glad to hear that it's working!
In an effort to help boost the economy, I suggest that you keep your eyes peeled for a GDec 3 30. It has variable line outs and you can send the backing tracks to your computer via the line outs and have only the guitar play through the amp, if you so desire.
What price happiness, as they say
Best,
Alex

Hi Alex...thanks for the suggestion...not financially viable after spending the $ for this awesome American Deluxe....

I still hope to find some sort of patched driver that can increase the volume/input signal from the amps usb cable.
To be fair it doesn't appear to be a Fender only problem....google has numerous hits with other USB audio with low input.

I'm still not sure why when I open the DEC Audio up in the sound properties there are no options for record/input levels like there are with Playback....
But it's not just this computer because I've tried it on a number of XP boxes, and I think a Win7 box too and they don't appear there either.

The USB cable is sure handy though.

Hi martinf64,

I wanted to follow up with you and see if you ever had a chance to try the amp channel tips? These would include adding Volume in the "Amp" menu as well as (where applicable) adding gain or adding some additional output level to effects via the "FX" menu. Please let us know if we can assist further. Thanks.

Best Regards,

Alan
