I think the G-DEC 3 was primarily competing against Fender's own Mustang I and II amps since the only non-Fender comparable product is the Line 6 Spider Jam which is a 75 watt and significantly more expensive. The G-DECs have more functionality than the Mustangs but were similarly priced. Now Fender is rolling out Mustang v2.0s hot out of NAMM 2013 and no mention of a G-DEC... so I think it is dropped so they can focus on pushing Mustangs. Looks like they dropped the Mustang Floor pedalboard as well (although the remaining new stock is amazingly well-priced now!)

Did they drop the high-end Cyber Twin amps as well? I keep wondering if Fender is going to challenge the Line 6 Spider Bogner Valve line with a mid-priced line of tube-driven modeling amps.

This is interesting. I am in between amps right now and thinking the newer Mustang. Should be interesting times ahead.

Fender used to have a couple of people who replied to these types of questions. I guess either they don't know the answer or they don't frequent these forums anymore.
