i am getting ready to use my g-dec 30 for some small solo lounge gigs (blues/jazz). i will be plugging a small cd player into the aux input on the back of the amp.

the only problem i have encountered is the volume between presets can vary widely. this will leave me to use only 1 preset for the entire gig. i can not go from a 'normal volume' to one that will blast the ear dums of customers.

if i can not level the volume across presets, can i get a clear preset and control all effects with a pre-amp processor or a tubscreamer type foot switches?

Ken,
Putting a stomp box in front of the G-DEC on clean preset will work just fine but I have one other suggestion. In the Amp Menu there is a menu option called "Amp Volume"(third option listed if I remember correctly). That level is stored with the preset and can be used to help normalize the level from one preset to the next.
