Can I play along and record (over-dub) to songs that I'm inputting to a G-Dec 30 from my computer?

Hi darby6,

I will be happy to assist. If you wish to do over-dubs with your Fender G-DEC 3, I would suggest you use the Ableton Live Lite third party software, that comes bundled with your amp. The Ableton software is a recording software that you can use to record the signal from your amp to your computer. If you send us an email to tsl@fender.com with your Fender FUSE credentials (no password necessary) we would be happy to help you redeem the serial numbers so you can authorize the software and get started with recording over dubs to already existing files. Thanks.

Hi Fenderstaff-
When I bought the amp I just received Fender Fuse, not the Ableton Live Lite program you suggested. Is that a problem? Let me explain my original question further. I enjoy playing along with the 300+ songs that I've put into my Itunes library. Think of it as guitar karaoke. No vocal input, just a song plus my addition of a guitar track. I hope that clarifies my question and hope. With that said you could respond to the email address that I have registered. Because I spend my winters in Florida and the rest of the time in Michigan my amp and Fuse documentation is 1500 miles away. So I may not be able to satisfy that part of your request.

Hey Hobbyist. While waiting you can also get "Audacity" to record with it is free and easy to use. After installing Just pull one of your songs into a track. Then record to that with your guitar, then render the 2 tracks down to an mp3 file. http://audacity.sourceforge.net/download/ It's just a thought.

Hi darby6,

It seems like you are getting some great advice from banditt11. Audacity is a great tool to use as well. We would be more than happy to give you a call an offer some more personalized assistance, so please send us an email at TSL@fender.com with a phone number or any requests for documentation. Looking forward to hearing from you.

Thanks,
