Hello everyone ,

well .. am a jazz/fusion funk guitarist based on toronto , I was absolutely shocked when I came across the g-dec at one of the local stores .. and immediately got one for me .. I played around with it and its just amazing , yes it does not completely substitue for your gear , but it does a great job .. I mean just recording with it the other day through logic pro was kinda crazy , because what your getting through this little USB connection is way better than plugging it as a line out from your guitar effect pedal or so , the other alternative is a mic recording from the amp .. which is to be honest . when you have a quick session or a guide for a major recording , you dont have to .

Truly and I do have dozens of gear here , two things i never regret buying was a eric clapton strat since the 90's and this amp ..

however .. my main concern .. how can I take this amp into live action if I am to conduct a small workshop or play in a small space in a lounge and dont need a big huge gear on me ,

I know there is a 4 button controller for it

but I need to A VOLUME CONTROLLER .. is that even applicable .. ????

comments are truly appreciated ..

Thanks alot

Willing to bet for the acoustic patches right?........Did they ever fix the volume drop issues on the G-Dec for the acoustic settings?

Hi Sherif...
I don't see why both the footswitch controller and a volume pedal wouldn't work together.........they have differing functions and plug into separate jacks.
But, perhaps a Fender support expert could weigh in here??????
Good luck!
Alex

The g-dec pedal will plug into the back of the amp. Just plug your guitar into a volume pedal and from there to the front of the amp.

Hi Shleithy,

It seems as if you are getting some great advice from other Forum members, thanks guys. We think that there might be some confusion as to which pedals that are compatible with the Fender G-DEC 3. Fender has an EXP-1 Expression Pedal ( http://www.fender.com/products/mustang/ ... No=2301050) that can be programmed to act as a Volume pedal. However, this pedal is only compatible with the Fender Mustang III/V and Floor devices. The only Pedals compatible with the Fender G-DEC 3 are the Fender ULT-4, MS-4 and the 2-Button Foot switch. So like banditt11 suggested, you should use a standard Volume Pedal for your application. Please let us know if we can assist further.
