My apologies up front, I am a complete Newbie at this, I have searched the forum for answers but to be honest I don’t know the lingo or really what to look for!

I want to be able to use My G-Dec 15 And the Mustang 3 with either Garage band or my Protools programs on my lap top.

Plug it in, and be able to have the amp and effects to be recorded directly into the projects of GB or PT's as a track!

Can someone please explain to me how this is done or point me in the right direction to a tutorial?

I am Assuming What ever works connectivity wise for the G-Dec would also work for the Mustang……………

Also……….i have a Cyber Twin SE…………..G-Dec or Mustang first but if anyone knows how to do this with the CTwin SE I would be eternally greatfull!!!!.....as it is my main baby.

Thank you for any and all advice.
Dan

First of all, the post is from yesterday, not a year ago.
Second, you need to install the ASIO driver from the disk that came with your amp.
Look at the Amplitube info for clues as to how to use with ProTools.
Not familiar myself, but that's where to start.

Best of luck!
Bob

If I were you, I'd at least try Bob's advice. Amplitube does come with a manual and it is well worth a look before being dismissed as clueless.
Although I do use my GDec3 30 for recording, I don't use Amplitube, Garageband or Protools so can't help further with those applications. I did have a GDec3 15 and when I used it for recording, I took the headphone o/p signal from the amp into my laptop using Audacity software.
cheers,
Alex

Not good to belittle advice from someone trying to help, when you can't even spell.

Hi cyberguy,

It would appear that you are on Mac. If so, your amp should be showing up as a Core Audio device. In Garage Band (or PT), go to your audio Preferences and select it as your input and if desired output device (for Fender G-DEC 3 only). You should be good to go at that point. Please let us know if we can assist further.

I will be trying this out in the next day or two, and will post back results as well.
thank you so much Fender guy.

Just a few other questions if I may -

- Does Fender Fuse need to be installed on the computer for this to work?.....Just curious........my fender fuse in on my pc at the moment....not the Mac

- You Wrote for the G-Dec Only………..how would I set it up for the Mustang and Cyber Twin SE as well?

My Apologies Bclarke675, I skipped the Grammar and spelling classes to play guitar is my youth, im not to particular on typos for the linguistically elite of the interweb.

Oh and Im not Colonel Mustard in the library with a candlestick, I was seeking Answers, not clues, and while im on the topic "Providing Clues"……..does not constitute Help.

Sorry...won't try to help in the future unless I can spell out a solution like a text book. You hadn't received a response, and I figured (wrongly, in your case) that pointing you in the direction of help was better than nothing.

Sorry about the "worst Internet advice ever"

Peace out

Hi cyberguy,

You are very welcome. In answer to your question, you do not need to have Fender FUSE installed to use the amp as a Core Audio device. Please let me know how it goes.

Cheers,

Alan
