I am new to the Gdec 3 30 and need some help. I am trying to import a band track from my computer to the amp through Fender fuse. Here is what happens:
1) Fuse says my amp is connected
2) I select computer in the fuse software and get the list of band tracks I have stored in my computer.
3) I right click the band track I want and select to copy to the amp
4) Fuse now says my amp is not connected, Windows says fuse has stopped working and the amp locks up with a screen that says updating files please wait.
I have poured over the forums until I am blue in the face. I can play band tracks from the SD card but would like to store them in the amp. Any help is appreciated.

OK I update the fuse software and now it says I don't have enough memory to save a band track on the amp. I have deleted the metronomes and a couple of other band tracks I didn't like but it still says I don't have enough memory on the amp. Any ideas?

Don't try downloading onto the harddrive in the amp. Everything should go into the SD card. If your SD card is formatted to the amp then you can take your SD card and use a reader directly into your computer then copy the songs you want right into the "audio" folder on the SD card.

Thanks and I understand I "can" do what I want from an SD card but the point is that I should also be able to move mp3/wav band tracks to the amp itself.

But, you 'can' move band tracks to the amp HD, just not too many. Since the band tracks are accessed the same way via the silver knob, irrespective of whether they're on the amp HD or inserted SD card, plus the SD card not only adds portability, but also doesn't contribute much to the weight of the amp, what's not to like?

You could Baggerman04. But it doesn't take any longer to access that SD card as does going to the hard drive. Whatever I guess.

So I have found out the HD is very small which is where my problems came in trying to store backing tracks on the HD. SD card it is.

Hi Baggerman04,

We will be happy to assist. We do not recommend transferring a large amount of Band Tracks directly to your Fender G-DEC 3's HD. The HD on the Fender G-DEC 3 is only 256Mbs, and therefor not the best option fr this application. Using the SD card will put less of a limitation when it comes to you accessing and playing back Band Tracks from your amp. Please let us know if we can assist further.
