25 viewers to this question and nobody knows the impedance of the headphone jack? Come on Fender, you built it. You should be able to ask the engineer that designed it.

Hi David....welcome to the forum.
I'm a tad embarrassed as I'm one of the 25, but I'm not embarrassed to admit that I don't know the impedance of the headphone jack. It's simply not been an issue for me.
I can, however, give you a link to the schematics for the GDec and maybe the answer lies there...

cheers,
Alex

Thanks Alex. I will check out the schematic.

Well I checked out the schematic and found the headphone jack but the impedance is not listed. I guess I will have to call Fender to find out. Thanks Alex for your help.

You're welcome...I wish it had been more useful. Could you not measure it? Or is it that you think there's a problem?
You have to keep in mind that I'm electronically challenged :D ...so my questions may not be well grounded.
Oops...bad pun, sorry!
cheers and good luck...
Alex
ps...at least you found the headphone jack on the schematic...I gave up looking after a while as my laptop has too small a monitor, so when I blow up the schematic, I have to scroll around and lose track of where I was :(

I don't think there is a problem with the amplifier. The impedance of speaker outputs, headphone outputs, microphone inputs are common specifications that are published for most gear. It is best to match the impedance of gear (i.e. hi-impedance microphone to a hi-impedance mic input). I am going to buy a good pair of headphones and wanted to get the best impedance match that I could. Headphones comes in hi and low impedance models. That is why I wanted to know the impedance of the headphone jack.

Hmmm...I use a pair of Sennheiser HD 555's with mine and they sound fine. According to the spec sheet, they are 50 ohms impedance.
Best,
Alex

Hi David,

I heard back from our engineer. The impedance of the headphone amp on the Fender G-DEC 3 amps is 22 ohms. Please let us know if we can assist further.
