Hi everyone... I know this issue of noise/hum/buzz from the GDEC 3 has been discussed, but what I haven't seen is what should be considered "normal," given a "clean" amp preset?

I have degrees of this, and, as pointed out in other threads, the more OD and gain and such, the more noise you'll have. But, for example if nothing is plugged in (eliminating the guitar as a source of noise; I have a 2012 American Standard Tele, so I know it has single coil PU that is inherently buzzy), and the amp is set to Clean Tweed, is there what is considered a "normal" amount of buzz/noise?

Also, I just bought this GDEC over the weekend. When it boots up I see version 1.03 in the LED window. I've seen mentioned a 1.04 update? Is that right? Do I go through FUSE to get it?

Thanks for any help. These board are Godsends...

Hi B Scribe,

It looks like you have gotten good information here from AlexeiY. Thanks AlexeiY! In case you still needed any information on the actual firmware update process itself, please see the link below. Thanks.

My GDEC 3 thirty on startup shows that i have 1.04. Is the firmware update meant to update MY current version? I've only had it a month and everything seems to work just fine with the current Fuse version. I want to be sure I'm not missing something here. Having a BLAST with this Amp and know I have a lot to learn...Thanks !!

Dannyboy, 1.04 is the most recent update, so the good news is, you're not missing out on anything!

And, if it hasn't been mentioned before, welcome to the forums! :)
