Hi everybody!

I have
*downloaded the Country Edition
*tranferred it to a SD card
*plugged the SC card in my amp

When I turn on the amp it says 'Country Edition', but the tracks seem to be the regular ones. How do I locate the country tracks?

Thanks

Hi. Did you check your files & directory folders to make sure
the amp is not missing or cannot get to a directory?

Hi Toppscore!

Sorry, but I didn't understand very much of that. What do you mean by "the amp is missing"?

I was under the impression that once the splash screen said Country, Blues or Metal, I should have a "have a fully functional G-DEC 3 amplifier with the desired content", so I'm not sure which files and folders to check, how to find them and how to check.

"missing" = "seeking" "looking for" "trying to find" "cannot locate"

Well, the amp is not missing. It's right here on the floor.

I managed to turn it into a blues amp using the SD card, but now the original version is gone. I thought that I could only have a country/blues/metal amp with the card plugged in.

silly.
missing or seeking the country folder within the amp or within the computer.

Good that your amp is on the floor.

What happens is "sometimes" beginners (not you, of course)
put info into folders or directories.
Whis is good.
But, "sometimes" (maybe not in your situation) the computer or the amp
cannot locate the folder or directory.
But, "sometimes" (and again, maybe not in your situation)
the computer or amp "can" see or recoginize that a folder is there
with your country songs (which I do suspect is your case)
but cannot open that directory or folder full of country tracks.

A wise man (not me) once said something like "Do the same thing and you will get the same result". Well, since I was able to turn the amp into a blues amp, I tried one more time with the country tracks. I'm almost certain that I did as before, but this time it worked. Now my amp is the Country Edition. Now I just have to figure out how to play the blues tracks without deleting the country tracks. Must be something about that somewhere in the manual...

Thanks for replying!

You are ahead of me.
Last month I sold my Blues editon for $450.
I purchased it for $250 in December.
Gain of $200.
Then, last week I purchased one of the last "Black Tolex"
new in box G-DEC 15" 30w amps remaining in the USA for $150.
Only Metal versions will be left as New In Box, soon.

My goal is to load all of the Metal, Blues, Country and Standard
tracks into my computer and review and discard,
leaving only my favorite tracks.

Then, install those into my G-DEC. Your are ahead of my if you've done this.

I have purchased 10 of the 12 Hal Leonard/SD-Card G-DEC Books w/backing tracks.
I am hoping to get those into my G-DEC if possible. We shall see.

Hi jan321,

It sounds like you are getting things sorted out for the most part. If you have any additional questions, please let us know.

PLMK what you are up to.
I would like to load in the best of Metal, Country, Blues and the regular tracks.
I say "best" as I'd fill up the capacity with the good tracks I like.
What do you think, or what have you learned. Toppscore :)

Hi Guys,

Keep in mind that if you are looking of the Fender G-DEC 3 Special Edition Band Track content, we have individual links for Blues, Country and Metal Band Tracks on the left hand side bar of the Fender FUSE Community home page under Promotions. There you can audition each Band Track and download what you like. I hope this helps. :)

Thank you so much.
Thought it was an all tracks at once option.
So, empty out our G-DEC and eventually refill
with tracks that we will use!!!!

Hi Toppscore,

So, to clarify, you can perform a complete restore of your amp if you use the 'zip' files and instructions from this page: http://www.fender.com/support/articles/ ... stallation.

Or, you can go the route of grabbing the individual Band Tracks you like from the Fender FUSE Community home page as we were chatting about earlier. Thanks.
