Just bought a Fender G-DEC 3 Thirty Amplifier from Guitar Center. Great amp. Love the features and everything. Until I tried connecting it to my computer.

First off, the disc (DVD-ROM) that came with the amp itself, would not download FUSE to my Mac. In the folder "Fender Software MAC", was "FUSEDowloader.zip". When I would open this, a pop up with show and it would say "Please wait. Fender FUSE is being downloaded and installed." I would click "Begin Download" and nothing will ever happen. "ok" is also on the bottom of the pop up.

So I then downloaded FUSE from the Fender website itself. Download worked fine. I now have FUSE on my computer and it looks like a great program to us, just like GarageBand, which I also have.

When I open FUSE, everything is great, but it cannot find my amplifier. The amp is plugged into my computer with the USB cord that was enclosed in the box of the G-DEC3. I have no clue at all why it is not being found on FUSE. The amp is on, guitar plugged in, Fuse is opened. I dont know. Too much frustration for something that is said to be very simple right on the box.

Can someone please help, or tell if they are experiencing the same problem I am. Thank you.

Before contacting your dealer or Fender
(you have a five year warranty on new Fender amps bought from a Fender Dealer),
try connecting the computer and software and G-DEC in different orders.
Try a couple of ways.

================
make sure your software is the latest version
Fender site will have the latest over a disc with the amp.
==============
Shut all down.
Pute the FUSE software in the disc tray.
Plug in the amp/usb to the computer.
Have the amp active
Then turn on the computer.
===============
Also, do the above and add the usb/amp after the computer/disc have booted up.
===============
Check the instructions for variations.
===============
Check your USB ports for 1.0 USB vs 2.0 USB and see if your amp/computer
have the same USB versions. Usually not a problem, as things just run slow.
===============
Update your USB port drivers = very easy to do.
===============
This G-DEC Fender website has good info.
===============
Contact your dealer
===============
Contact Fender.

Hi heatmanson,

It sounds like you are seeing an issue with connectivity which we have corrected in a new Public Beta build of the Fender FUSE software. The updated build is available via the included link below. Please download and install this version of the software, and let us know if you are still seeing issues with connectivity on your Mac. Thanks.

Hi Toppscore,

Fender FUSE can be freely installed on the PC or Mac of your choice, including the build from the included link here. I am not quite following the rest of your question. Perhaps you can clarify? Thanks.

Thanks. I have several computers and one new G-DEC 3 Thirty.
Can I download the software on three computers?
Home, office and travel laptop?
Or, is the software dedicated to one computer and will need "keys"
to work on other computers.

Thank you for responding. Topspcore :)
