Hi everyone, bought a G-DEC 30 in the beggining of the year, and if i'm globally satisfied i'm also a litle frustated.
I explain, i'm not a professional musician, and i play guitar just for fun, and one of the main reasons i bought the g-dec was the fact that it's plug and play (used to use the computer with cubase and plugins to emulate amps, effectas etc.). I have a one/two hours time window to play, and i was spending almost half an hour just "setuping" the gear.
So G-DEC was a great aquisiction. The problem now is to get a specific "tone".

While using Amplitube (Jimi Hendrix) i had everything (effects related) customized on G-Dec (and due to my lack of knowledge on "musical effects technology") i just can't get a hendrix tone (not something exact but at least near).
I've already spent a lot of time trying to "configure it" but it's a frustation and a guess and try work (as so many options where even the effects name doesn't five e some clue).
Spent a lot of time on google and on mygdec.com searching and still haven't found.

Can anyone be so kind that could provide me guidance (or the presets) for the most known hendrix musics (i'm learning to play the hendrix songs like hey joe, the wind cries mary, etc...).

Thanks in advance.

PS: I think that this kind of amp is most used for begineers or amateurs like me whitout knowledge to fully explore the options. Why doesn't Fender have a site section with tips to get artists tones?

Ok after looking at G-DEC Section (not G-DEC 30) i found some excel file.
Got to tell that the mygdec.com organization is not very smooth.

Anyway Thanks

Much of the "Hendrix sound" is in your fingers through style of play and chord voicings.

Use more 2 note chord ordimation and chord shapes based on a "C" or "G" rather than the more common "A" and "E" and you may find the sound you are looking for.

No matter how you manipulate an amp, you can't duplicate playing style.

G dec.com requires you to have Adobe 9 I believe to downlaod presets or settings to get the sounds of the artist of your choice. In my case, I don`t have what I need in my computer to do that so I`m out of luck. I tried numerous times to get around the problem but I can`t seem to get any downloads either. As good as G dec.com is, I wish there was another way to get some of the settings I`m looking for. If anyone knows how to do that it would be appreciated.

The excel sheet listing the collection of patches is available in both the G-Dec and G-Dec 30 file areas. If It won't work in one, it should in the other.

When I up date the sheet this winter, I'll present PDF as well as xls versions.
