Hi,

I have a G-Dec 3 15w.

It's pretty new but a month ago it blew the internal fuse.

I replaced it with a 250mA anti-surge but after a week it blew again.

I replaced it again and this time it's lasted all of 3 weeks before blowing again??????

The fuse I have in the plug is 5amp.

Is there any reason why the internal keeps blowing? What can I replace it for?

Thanks.

Hi conks01,

The fuse in your amp should be matched to the original fuse that you replaced. It sounds quite unusual that the fuse is blowing repeatedly. Are you in the US? It is possible that your amp needs to be looked at by a service center. If you like, please send us an email and include your contact information and we will be happy to direct you to a service center in your area. Thanks very much.

Hi Alan,

I'm in the UK.

The internal fuse (in the amp) is the same as is what is indicated on the labelling below the socket.

THe fuse in the plug is a 5amp? Not sure if this is correct. When the amp arrived (2nd hand) the power cable wasn't included. I had to use a printer cable which fitted and changed the plug fuse from a 13amp to a 10amp, then a 5amp.

Should the amp in the power cable plug be less than 5amp perhaps? Maybe a 3amp or even a 1amp?

Hi conks01,

At this point, I would advise you to contact Fender UK as this is a regional electric issue. I have included their contact information below. Please let me know if I can assist further.

Cheers,
